Knife that stopped you from carrying and buying other knives

Do you have a knife that you just keep carrying ever since you got it, while you're neglecting other knives you have?

To me, that's spear point Recon 1.

Only other knife I got after I got Recon1 is K390 Delica. And I really wanted to carry Delica. So I carried it few days and it is good, but... it's not Recon1.

Why? It just gets the job done. It has great ergos, it's beefy and tough, steel is good and it's reliable. No worries about toughness, corrosion or lock sthrenght.

The biggest reason for me to get Delica was to have a smaller knife option for more formal occassions, but I might just carry my Recon1 there too. All other folders I had got either sold or gifted away. And Recon1 always finds a way in my pocket somehow.
 
For work, I stopped carrying my other work knive when I got my 550 Griptilian, unless the edge got too far gone so that a simple stropping could bring it back and I didn't have time to sharpen it, which was very rare. I never carried it outside of work though, and I'm now retired and I still don't. So I guess that old warrior retired at the same time I did.

Outside of work, I rarely carry the same knife 2 days in a row.
 
So, you’re telling me that you folks still hang out on this forum, look at all the photos of the fantastic knives these folks post and are able to completely resist the temptation? I’m properly impressed if that’s the case. “ I “ find it very easy to be happy with what I have if I’m not constantly bombarded with temptation but that requires time away from here

Edit. The small Sebenza 31 clip point has become my locking folder of choice and I need look no further. Now the fixed blades, well hmmm.

You nailed it, time away helps immensely. Even that said, despite buying new knives sporadically, I've got my trusty daily carry knife. Kind of like no matter how many new guns I get, it's always most likely going to by my Glock 43 or a J-frame for every day carry.

Let's not talk about guns bought in the last few years working at a gun store...
 
When I got the OG CPK Field Knife, I sold quite a few I had in this size range and stopped searching.

And as of recent, this Phaeton has been my constant beater, mostly doing dirty work in the yard. So thin and lite.

Those are little mini tanks. Tough knives. I’ve carried mine a TON, along with my 0909 (which may be the best overall EDC in my opinion for the money). But I still like to buy/carry other knives too. My Eklipse Bowie, and my PM2 get a LOT of pocket time as well lately.
