How To knife throwing my way...

Can no spin do this?

oh 100% ha. I could post a ton of vids, but this guy uses some weird no spin style that he explains in several vids, this one though is just rapid fire super accurate throws, no boring commentary. It might be called the "Thorn Style" with roots from Russian Spetsnaz or something, if I recall. There is some half spins.

It's really hard to do. In my video, where the knife flies off and hits the camera, ha, i'm trying this method (start close but to the side).

Another weird method I've only seen one random dude use is what I call the "lots of spins" method. You grip the butt with index and thumb but the knife tip is almost pointed back behind you.

I usually use half spins or full, but with this method, rewatching my video, it was a double spin for what would normally be one spin for the distance. Point is, it was a lot more effective than I thought and I was hitting super hard. Knives were difficult to pull out the wood.

But I mean yo, each their own, and I'm sure a clever (also in my video!! should add some music) and other implements, you just HAVE to spin. I'm definitely not saying it's the best!! Like a tomahawk, shit, have yet to see a no spin on those. Probably been done but the balance just doesn't really allow it.

Oh wow I'd hate to be on the receiving end of a thrown WTF. I have some throwing knives from SOG that I bought at a pawn shop for 50 bucks. They aren't perfectly balanced but I've been practicing with them for about five years now. I'll have to try My TGLB out sometime.

Have you had a chance to throw a Cleaver or Pork Chop?
I have thrown my pork chop now a lot and it is great still no cleaver but cleavers usually make good throwers so i have no doubt a Busse cleaver would perform amazingly.

Wow that’s crazy :-) in a good way !! Thanks for sharing the vids

HE,
Really cool. Thanks again for posting the link to this post. Definitely going to get back into throwing & trying your technique, as the one my father taught me was throwing from blade, & I want to learn throwing from the handle( for obvious reasons you already stated).
Thanks,

For sure. My mindset is to be able to throw while holding the knife in a ready to use position and throwing hard. I am working on underhanded and also left handed throwing now.
