Knife vs PlayStation 5

I’d say buy whichever makes you happier. Personally I never cared much for video games so the answer would be pretty obvious for me.

So what are y'all using?

Dominoes or cards?

Gin Rummy? Slamming bones?

.......

Video games are by yourself. Sometimes with others playing. Like this forum. Everyone types a quick statement back and forth. In videos games, it's someone else trying to shoot you.

So this PlayStation place you talk about...you need to provide more of an explanation. Is it like the bad guys' place in Our Man Flint?

There's a knife somewhere there, for sure:

Yeah, balance for all things in life.
A time to knife, a time to play (although I’m PC Master Race).

Buy both but don’t forget the PS VR!

My son and I are gamers so we have multiple PS gens as well as XBox, Quest 2 and gaming PC's. And knives.

You can't take it with you.

I have a lot of knives and all the latest gaming consoles. I’ve had every generation of PlayStation. Elden Ring on the PS5 is in a different league. I finally beat it and my oldest son is playing through it now. The X-box X is okay. Starfield is a letdown but Skyrim and Ark Survival Evolved are cool. My wife(playing Skyrim as I type this) and kids all enjoy gaming. I play some to try to fit in but it’s hard to find time for it lately. Mario Odyssey on the Switch is probably one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever played. I’d go with the console if you just need some mind-numbing entertainment. Just be careful to manage your time though, you don’t get it back. We give the boys pretty strict playtime limits after they’ve taken care of homework and chores.

I watch my 10 year old play his PS5. When he’s not out riding or playing ball. Your money your choice.

My ,still functional ,olde original XBOX is packed away, along with all the games that won't run on anything else .

Not like I used to , but occasionally play on my 360 : Halo , Border Lands , etc .

I don't play connected online , and never much did .

So never updated to the newer XBOX consoles or games , because they mostly seem geared to online play.

The money and time , I've spent on video gaming , is trivial compared to knives, in total .

PS5 is a great interface for all of your streaming apps as well as games. I spent $600 on WTG knives that have sat in the closet since they arrived and $500 on the PlayStation that keeps the wife, kids and myself entertained during the winter months. A new knife will just beget a new knife.
