Knife vs PlayStation 5

I don't do gaming, so "fun" money gets funneled into my various other hobbies.

Was never any good at gaming myself anyway. Besides I don't do so well sitting in one spot for too long.
 
I’ll take a knife all day. My PS5 basically just gathers dust. I can’t enjoy the ps5 unless I’m at home and even then, it barely gets used for more than streaming stuff. A knife offers more utility.

When did a $50 knife stop sufficing when disposable income is tight?

It's like choosing between Chevy vs. Rolls Royce when you need a new car.

$50 knife vs. $500 knife = 10 fold increase in price
$30,000 car vs. $300,000 car = 10 fold increase in price

It's literally the same economy. They do that on purpose.

It's an obvious choice for the car when income is limited. Why is it so much less obvious for the knife?

Perhaps people feel pressured into thinking they must have a luxury item.
 
If PS5 was backwards compatible all the way to PS1, I'd have one.
It isn't, so I don't.

I already have PS2, PS3, and a PS4...don't need another thing taking up more space. Already have to keep two of them in storage and hook them up when I decide to play the older games.

Maybe PS6 will be worth it...but probably not. ;)
 
Knife for sure.

Unless they make a game that is all about distracting yourself from the depressing drudgery of life by eating, sleeping and dreaming about knives. They would have to nail the reasoning for selection, research, excitement, thrill of checking out, anticipation of arrival and wide-eyed Christmas morning ambiance of said knifes arrival. Then the epic battle of the games boss, at the end of each transaction, could be convincing the wife of why you had to buy another damn knife. lol
 
If you have a 4, just stick with that, or trade it in and get a pro. I havent turned my ps5 on since August.
