Knife you're embarrased to own or admit purchasing?

I’ve been reluctant to admit to these even in this thread, hopefully we are deep enough in so they will buried.
A Forged in Fire brand cleaver shaped knife and a Posh imported Pakimascus fighter with more handle than I know what to do with.

These were both gifts from my wife after I began making knives she thought she would get me a gift that I was into. Bless her heart. Both of these basically embody everything I am against when it comes to knives, nonetheless they were gifts from her so they will hang around.
Back when I was more into firearms than knives, early on she bought me an UncleMikes holster and a box of ammo for a pistol caliber I’ve never owned. Eventually she did get me a Colt Diamondback and a Colt Anaconda in Ultimate Stainless, so there’s always hope!

I found the FIF paring and chef knife at Home Goods a while ago. On the clearance shelf for $9.99.

Of course I bought them. 😁 $5 each and I can beat the tar out of them and post them here for a laugh? Oh, you becha. You can't get a Mora for $5 anymore. They're due for a sharpening.

The handle on that FIF cleaver is big as it is. The damascus one must be like a 2x4.

A pic of the FIF chef with some other popular knives for handle size comparison.

We've got a pair of those "Forged in Fire" knives.
We actally LIKE them. They showed up plenty sharp; and are holding that edge!

When I was 12 I bought a “Texas toothpick” dagger (complete with serrations) at the mall. It was made by Frost Cutlery and sported the finest surgical steel blade ever made. I carried it proudly!
Different times… now a 12 year old could neither buy that knife or carry it around!

How about the "Tekut Spike" with Zirconium white ceramic blade? Just found it cleaning out the garage today. Pretty embarassing.

WValtakis WValtakis it was Big River websales for $13.75 as i recall, if you were "interested." It's really not toooooo bad considering the cost.

I hesitated posting this, but here we go. My son was "fixing" the pepper grinder, and this sick ceramic blade successfully got through this tape on a hurry, FWIW

Not even as a push dagger between your fingers?
it just wasn't built right.
depending on the thickness
and the size of one's fingers,
the juncture of the crossbones actually pinched fingers badly.
and the protuding top ends of it
always did its best to dig in to
whatever it comes in
contact with;
namely it digs into one's palms.
granted the skull and crossbones
look pretty cool
but as a handle it sucks big time.
its truly a great self-torture device
the harder one grips
the more pain it delivers.
frankly over time
its negative user experience
made one less
inclined to ever put it to actual use.
so on the contrary of being
perceived as being wickely evil
its has the power
to also make a reform pacifist
out of its owners :)
looks sure can be deceiving...

Still and all ...wouldn't it look wonderfully cinematic if left stuck into the crown of a bad guy's skull ? 💀

We used to go to the "knife and pipe" store, as we called it, in my mall, when I was in middle and high school, graduated in 2014. We were tickled that we could buy our knives and pipes from the same place! Guy even threw in pipe filters and told us to be safe. Old Indian guy named Sonny, he was the best!
I still have a rather classy looking wooden handled, dual flipper tab (so it can wave open) dagger. Even back then, my taste was okay. I should post it up here! I cut a noose down with it once.
