Knife you're embarrased to own or admit purchasing?

I have a Topps Prather War Bowie, a huge black mall-ninja lookin mofo you could use to dig a hole or chop down a tree. Good quality knife, if you’re an orc from Mordor.
Nothing to be embarrassed about with that blade. It's cool. It's on my "to buy" list.

SOG Trident Folder-older model, not the newer ones.

They kind of suck as far as knives go, but there are things I like and they're mildly sentimental from my Boy Scout days.

I’ve been reluctant to admit to these even in this thread, hopefully we are deep enough in so they will buried.
A Forged in Fire brand cleaver shaped knife and a Posh imported Pakimascus fighter with more handle than I know what to do with.

These were both gifts from my wife after I began making knives she thought she would get me a gift that I was into. Bless her heart. Both of these basically embody everything I am against when it comes to knives, nonetheless they were gifts from her so they will hang around.
Back when I was more into firearms than knives, early on she bought me an UncleMikes holster and a box of ammo for a pistol caliber I’ve never owned. Eventually she did get me a Colt Diamondback and a Colt Anaconda in Ultimate Stainless, so there’s always hope!

Everything about that knife is sub-standard, but when you’re a little kid you don’t notice those things. Besides it is was easily the first multiblade that I ever encountered.

Yep, funny how our 'expectations' have changed now. And of course now we also have so many 'choices'... in 'super steels', more exotic materials like titanium and high pressure laminates, newer designs and locking mechanisms, etc.... and thx to modern manufacturing methods, many of 'em are even surprisingly 'affordable' to boot. IMHO we truly live in an era that's become a knife collector's 'Paradise'!

Probably this CRKT Kasper Crawford Pro. I probably should just get around to buying the real deal from Wes Crawford one of these days.....

The CRKT has that goofy LAWKS locking system, and the AUS8 blade is, well.......AUS8.

That said, the handle ergonomics are one of the best I have ever held, however.

'Bout 25 years ago I bought some beauts: a couple of weird Gil Hibben show-biz blades, plus two Smith & Wesson branded "Special Tactical" knives (they were two for $20). How bad, after all, could something from Smith & Wesson be? I sure found out. Hahaha.

Fortunately, I stopped buying knives until last year when I picked up some Benchmades, Cold Steels, and Kizers. Nothing fancy or collectible, but at least they're reasonably useful.

RJ tactical 3.0 in 8Cr13MoV 🤢🤮 pretty embarrassed that that’s the knife I carried for 4 years
I really like RJ Martin but that Kershaw is just really bad, between the speedsafe, nylon washers that made the scales rub the handle no matter what I did the steel, the cheap liners and the FRN scales 🤮

Not "embarassed" about any of the knives that I own from cheap to expensive.

There are a couple that I'm sure a few ppl would shake their heads at like a Spyderco Spyker and Tighe Twist, a CRKT Ikona Fossil and a Kershaw Segal.

But, I'm make no apologies for them. I was an early collector of Ken Onion designs wc is why I still own the Spyker and Segal. I am also a fan of Brian Tighe's designs wc is why I still own the Stick. I just like the Fossil and, if you don't, that's your problem, not mine.

There is a ZT 0562 clone that I bought out of curiosity that I still have that I "should" be embarrassed about buying but I got a full refund for it because it was such a poor copy and it cost me nothing. The blade in unknown steel on it "looks" fantastastic but the scales "s*ckw" (nothing like the original) wc is why I got the refund.

Otherwise, the only knife I would be embarassed about buying would be one that I paid TOO much for and fortunately there are no such knives in my collection.
