Knifecenter.com mess

Yes entitlement they owe you nothing nothing at all for your time wasted or frustration. I understood what you typed the first time and still understand it. Like you posted above you have had other companies throw ya free stuff for apologies so I'm sure you aren't a easy person to deal with. I bet both you and the company are better off parting ways.
The phone calls were civil and the offers I referred to above were unsolicited. I don't believe they owe me anything either. I believe they screwed up several times and a small gesture might have made a difference. I am not being difficult, nor is my tone anything but calm. I didn't call any names, I purposely didn't use any names of individuals. I have already stated that I won't be dealing with them again, I would have thought you would have read that as well.

If you think there is a bad tone here now, I would agree but it is coming from you. Try to relax, no one died here, I simply shared my experience. No reason for the hostility.

From your rewrite you sound like someone I'd show the door. Called the maker; told to get lost. Called the dealer; told to get lost.

Seeing a pattern?
The maker was very helpful, as is their reputation. They didn't tell me to get lost. In contrast they recommended that I purchase from one of 4 of their dealers that had what I was looking for inbound. They were quite nice and I have purchased from them since my issue with knifecenter. They did this so I didn't have to wait for the makers stock to become available via the maker. I wish the dealer had told me to get lost, as it would have been an improvement over the way they actually conducted themselves. Instead they told me whatever they had to so I would order whether it was accurate or not.

And yes I am seeing a pattern. There are more trolls here than I would have expected.

I didn't read the OP until after it had been parsed, but it seems there is a lack of reading comprehension skills in this thread. I'm going to have to side with OP.

you would have had to read the original wall of somewhat incoherent text. it was very hard to read and didnt make much sense. now its much easier and clarified much better on what happened, etc. op did a good job rewriting it. so reading comprehension wouldnt apply for those who responded before it was edited, then again after it was edited and basically rewritten, folks have their own opinions. while we may not agree with their opinions it doesnt apply to reading skills in fairness.

that said without knifecenters side it's a one sided story. maybe all 100% accurate and true...maybe not? only the op and knife center folks involved know for sure.

I can understand your frustration. I have ordered a lot from Knifecenter over the years, and always expensive items. Their call center is a total hit-or-miss situation. I've had some horrible interactions with their incompetence, orders delayed for two or three months when it said "In Stock ready to ship," orders botched and not sent out at all until I prod them and then "oh it was stuck in processing."

But then again, I've also had a whole lot of smooth and fine transactions. I don't blame the entire company for the actions of a few morons in the call center. If I did that then I'd never order from anywhere or deal with anyone. I've ordered from KCenter many times since then and so far have been a-okay.

I think people missed the simple point that you had a bad time, you were pissed off, and you wanted to vent to people that could understand. It's easy to nit-pick and pass judgment over a computer. Ignore it.
