Thinking about ordering a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 from KnifeCenter.com. Has anybody order from them? Are they trouble or just a reasonably good priced online store?

I have probably bought over 20 knives from them and had no problems at all. I have both of the new Paramilitary's on pre-order from them as well. Good communication and reasonably priced.

I've ordered from them a number of times, and have never had any trouble. I'd use them again without hesitation.

Thanks for the fast reply!!! I'll start buying from them right away:D

Nick15, I have ordered 2 knives from them back a few months ago, no problems with shipping or anything else. I have also ordered knives from Howe's Knife Shop in Michigan & had all my orders in 3 days or less, plus the shipping was free. All of my knives were ESEE brand, but I also know he is a Spyderco stocking dealer, so you might check & see if he has the model you are looking for plus any order is shipped free. If I am not mistaken, he has a list of products he has in stock listed on his website. Good luck, post some pictures when you get the knife.
Be safe.

You really can't go wrong with Knife Center. They have always done me right. I also have purchased multiple knives from Knife Works and Cutlery Shoppe. Jeff at CS is top notch. Mike at New Graham is also outstanding. I think all of these dealersare fairly respected here on the boards. Good luck with your purchase. I just got a Paramilitary 2 a couple of months ago and cannot take it out of my pocket. It's simply an outstanding knife!!!!!!

Thanks for mentioning that. Jim at Howes is awesome. If I remember correctly he might have free shipping, or at least he did on my 2 Blind Horse Knives. A really nice guy!!!

Thanks for the reply! I'm looking forward to getting my hands on one too!

Great Company, I have ordered a dozen or so knives from them with never a single issue. Customer Service is top notch, they package the knives correctly, no issues.

Liveitloud, excellent statement. The thing with Jim @ Howe's was free shipping, but also the time he took the first time I called him to order my Junglas. I had a ton of questions, & he answered each one This was on a Friday afternoon @ 3:00PM & my stuff was here the following Monday a.m. He must have went straight to the p/o after we hung up & mailed it. Jeff @ the C.S. is good as well, have ordered a bunch of non-knife items from him with no problems. I have 2 more ESEE's & some Maxpedition stuff in bound from Howe's hopefully arriving tomorrow, just in time to play with Tuesday & Wednesday.

I see from their website front page that it is their company policy not to ship to New York. Is this just a recommendation or do they really reject orders shipping to NY?

They are fantastic to order from. When I order, I will usually get my purchases the next day! prices are sometimes higher than at other places, but they are easy to work with, friendly, and honest. I'm not such a fan of them for preorders, since they don't cut off the preorder ability, allowing hundreds of people to preorder when they will only receive say 200 knives. For in stock items however, they are fantastic. I would definitely recommend. For a regular production folder, like the para2, its a good company to order from!

Go for it! The para 2 is fanstastic.

Only problem i've had with them is that i'm still waiting for my surefires that i ordered over a month ago. And i'm not sure that's their error.

Many knife dealers will no longer ship to New York due to the uncertain legal situation.

Great company to conduct business with. Not certain on the New York shipping thing since I do not leave in New York.

It drives me nuts that some knife companies do not ship to NY just because of NYC!! I live in NY and I HATE NYC!!
