The in stock indicator is gone and it says typically ships in 2-3 days instead of the green “In Stock.” Definitely still let’s you put one in the cart, so maybe there are more in the way.
 
Well, I guess more than a few folks like smooth G10. :p

(And CPM Cru-Wear.)

I am a die hard pm2 fan and never thought I'd like a pm3. I was wrong. They grow on you quickly. And cruwear is pretty excellent steel. D-2 on steroids IMO.

Totally agree! I have huge hands and the PM3 is plenty big. Love the PM2 but now love the PM3 more. Check out the PM3 CruWear review by Michael Christy on YouTube. The guy knows his stuff!
 
I like CruWear...I just don't think I'll like the size. This gives me an opportunity to get one in hand without caring whether I like it or not
 
I got a shipping notification yesterday and the knife arrived today, nice!

I like the smooth G10 a lot, looks like a really dark grey and feels great. It’s a keeper!
 
Got mine today. Very nice knife and am liking the smooth scales. Need a deep carry clip on it ASAP.

Here's a comparison to my Native with smooth scales. Native on the bottom. A slightly different pattern. The Para 3 may be just a little bit grippier than the Native scales. Really happy with this one. So far my favorite Para 3 scales.

Looks like those PM3 scales are in serious need of some chamfering...
(not that that is a surprise to me)

Mine (or, more likely, my friend's) should be here tomorrow, or Saturday.

Looks like it compared to the Native, but they don't feel sharp or uncomfortable anywhere. I don't feel the need to touch mine.

The Native edges could have been made more rounded or just due to use. Quite a few miles on that one.

The scales (for me) are the weak link on the PM2. I spent way too much on aftermarket scales before considering that knocking the corners down could be all that is necessary. If my friend doesn't want this, and the size doesn't kill it for me, I'll probably give it a try.
I decided to let him do the initial opening; so I'll have the box here, taunting me, until sometime next week.

Yep... I agree. This Para 3 is excellent in every way. It feels good in hand, there's no slip in use so far, the F&F was perfect on mine, and it's Cru-Wear... a perfect match for my Cru-Wear Para 2 from KC. I can't find any sharp or rough edges on the scales. When I put the knife in my hand and rub it around some, everything feels smooth and comfortable. This ought to be a popular version for folks that complain about Spyderco's G10 shredding their pockets.
 
Are those scales as chamfered as the standard model? I thought the Para 3 had nice chamferring - more so than the PM2.

I have 6 other Para 3s. The closest match in G10 edge treatment is for my digi-cam Para 3s. Both the satin and the DLC are very slightly smoothed at the edges, just enough to take off any roughness. My black G10, CF, natural G10, and grey Cru-Wear Para 3s are more heavily "rounded" on the handle edges.

As a matter of interest, my Para 2s are more consistent in handle treatment from one model to the next. They're all a closer match for my smooth G10 and digi-cam G10 Para 3s. The edges are "touched" enough to take off any roughness but they aren't "rounded" like the CF & natural G10 Para 3s are.
