Too bad no one got a shot of where Tony Bose signed my left man breast. By the third day it had smeared to "on Bos" and it looked like I was lactating squid ink.

By the way, congrats to Tony and Case for winning best collaboration knife at Blade.

Bunny Ears are just funny dammit. And thank god nobody got a shot of me Thursday night :)

I'm with you, Campbell! Bunny Ears are funny! If I had been there, I would've been doing that every chance I got!
Do you remember Thursday? hehehe Next year, pace yourself!
Tickled you all had such a great time!
Great Friends, Great Knives...doesn't get much better than that!
Thanks for the posts, emails & calls! Keep them coming!

I agree, when done correctly, bunny ears are very entertaining.

Next year, you and I will go on a bunny ear quest to get as many knife makers and Blade Show dignitaries as we can in hopes of creating a coffee table book, The 2009 Blade Show Big Book of Bunny Ears. Just think how much money we could have made at next years show selling this years book .....if ONLY we had thought about this sooner.:)

Hey Mikey! Don't wash your man breast! On BoseHo's Forever!

Like Mikey ever washes... Although you gotta admit, if you are into "man breast" logos... "on Bos" is fairly provocative. :D:p;)

Saturday night we're sitting in a booth in the lounge with Elliott and T, James and Scott, Robuck, Charlie, and Danna......Tony and the Rich Brandon(Chief Engineer for Case) walk up with big ole smiles on their faces. They told us that they had just been informed that Case/Bose was awarded the Blade Collaboration of the Year for this years Arkansas Hunter.

Remember that our buddy Charlie(Waynorth)Campagna supplied Tony with the inspiration for that knife. This is a first for Case and Tony....Congratulations to Case and Tony and for Charlie's part in it!!! That is a great knife and a well deserved award for all the hard work that went into it.

Yep, that was a fine highlight that evening. Congrats to all involved!

Another thing that was very exciting was that the Dog's Head set by Tony and Reese was sold via a silent auction.

The results were great. I was very happy for both of them.

That's great! I didn't know that about Charlie's input. Way to go Waynorth......It was good to put some faces with the forum names.

Thanks for the shout out Jim. I wish we could have afforded to keep that stag whittler of Reeses:( but thanks to Chuck the profit paid for our hotel.

The weekend was a blast, and I'm already making plans for next year;)

Oh, and Kerry, that Cotton sampler........Nice draw!

No I know that feeling too, it usually hits me the Monday after Blade, but I shake out of it by realizing how lucky I am to be able to associate with all of you folks even if it is just once a year. I guess I am going to have to practice up on my partying. I can not come close to keeping up with you guys. :D.

Right now I need someone to "spatulate me off of of the ceiling" cause I am still on the Blade wave. Had dinner with Calvin (Steve F. of Tomway) , Bob %^#* and Calvin's wife this evening which is also part of my Blade wind down tradition.

Forgot to mention the Thursday dinner. It was a lot of fun with over 40 of us. Bummer was that we were split into two groups on opposite sides of Ol' Mill Steak House.

I might just have to rent a bus next year. :D.

I may take you up on that if we can work it out, Riad. Thanks for the invite!

I only got one really good picture. Larry

James, Mike and Vince

DSCN1462.jpg

Now THAT's a picture. As a rule, I never forget a face, but in this case, I'm willing to make an exception.

Good to see who I've been chatting with. Next year, in person.

Sounds like you rapscallions had a blast. Great pictures too. Somehow I pictured you guys looking more debonair and dashing. Boy-o-boy was I ever wrong. :D
Did anyone get to check out the Case version of the Tony's Arkansas Hunter? Any idea when it will become available?
