KnifeKits Eyelet Press Problems

Hey Zeng...

What you have there is not an eyelet setter,, but a button snap setter...

That has nothing to do with setting eyelets.. Only snaps..

What does an eyelette setter look like? and how do you use it? I am going to try to make a kydex sheath in the near future.

Bummer. Here's the description at Texas Knife Supply, though:
This setter consists of 1 setter pouch and 1 anvil designed to set the snaps sold with our leather sheaths and kydex eyelets. The anvil has a concave side and a flat side. SNAPSET1 is for the 1/8 “ kydex eyelets & leather sheath snap sets. SNAPSET2 is for the 1/4” kydex eyelets.
What does your eyelet setter look like and where did you get it from (if you don't mind me asking)?

Got some new dies from Darrel today! Nice and smooth and polished.

The roll is near perfect now, the front of the eylets are not scratched at all (sans denim), and the back of the eylet is not as affected as before (doesn't look bad now).

Thanks for the great CS Darrel!! :D

Hey Andrew..

Glad you got that sorted out...

I knew Darell would fix the problem ASAP..

Glad your new dies are working..

I'm curious - I called Texas Knifemakers Supply this week to try and buy the die sets, but they said it would be another 4-6 weeks because the whole run had a problem with "burrs".

I guess this means they can't be had anywhere?
