Knifemakers Guild Knives done. Wish me luck!

Nice looking poles, but too small dia wise to get what I use for knife handles, besides the best stuff comes from old growth stumps. Not a faint of heart harvest by any means. Really tough on chains and blades.

Man, I can't wait to see the hops farming pics! I hope you'll post more!

I have a BF with locust that is aging nicely, I don't recall too many locust handled knives being made. I am locust fan, mostly for the woodstove I will admit. I go into the woods on local farms and pull out locust trees that have fallen, in some cases years ago and they are still solid as a rock when most trees would be punky and rotting away. When Andy did some knives in locust a couple of years back I jumped on the BF below.

These crappy pics don't do it justice at all but here they are.

Just throwing out my own congratulations on getting in. That phrase of "Life is too short to carry and ugly knife" is just killing. I like it so much it helps me decide what to buy and carry every day. So much sense in such a simple phrase.

Thanks Andy.

Thanks to everyone here for the kind words, support and encouragement over the last 8 years!

Here's some of the knives Andy has been working on
