Let me be clear: I wasn't ripped off and they didn't really lie to me. But I won't be ordering from them again.

Here's why:

I ordered a RAT RC-4 in Desert Camo and an extra multi-tool sheath on Friday March 19 at approximately 6:30 AM EST; I almost immediately received a confirmation e-mail. However, the e-mail did not have a list of what I ordered nor what the individual items cost. Therefore, I had no electronic record of what I bought from them nor the cost nor could I confirm what I ordered was going to be shipped. Strike One.

Secondly, their confirmation e-mail had an order number and a customer number. On their website, they have a tracking site which requires an e-mail and "order code". This order code was not sent with the confirmation e-mail, hence making the "order tracking" process moot and useless. Strike Two.

Although they're website states that they try to ship the same day, I didn't get an ship e-mail until the following Monday around 8:30 PM CST; in other words, my order sat for two days. Which means that it didn't get to UPS until Tuesday. The whole purpose of ordering from them was: a) they were in NC, pretty close to North Alabama and b) they promised to "try to" ship the same day. By missing the two days, my knife didn't get here until Friday PM, too late for my three day camping trip leaving on Friday AM. If they had shipped my Monday, it would have made it on time. Strike Three.

My first clue should have been the RAT dealer page and the fact that Knifepro isn't on it. My second clue should have been the fact that Knifepro doesn't have a presence or reputation on the largest knife board on the planet (unlike KSF, Knife-Connection, CRKS et al). My bad.

Nothing earth-shattering, no fire and brimstone, no burning at the stake needed; but I won't be ordering from them again.

FWIW.

I never order anything over the internet without first getting on the phone with the retailer and doing the transaction directly on the phone, and have the retailer follow up with a confirmation email.
