Rolf anytime you're in the area you can stop by and grind some steel. I always have extra :)

burning wood for warmth is something I wish I had the option for! Always relaxing to sit around a camp fire that's for sure! Stay warm dude

And yep on the wood heat. A Fisher stove heats the whole house. We are lucky...
 
The fire is nice! We have been burning pine all year... we have a nice wood burning stove.

I heat the shop with ground metal, if you grind enough it keeps the place warm! :D lol

I just got some (really bad) pics up... hopefully I can get a lot more done tomorrow. The indoor lighting needs some improvement...

Now the knives... they are killer! Maybe my best group yet....
 
Evening all! Ash and I are almost home. Hit up the Movie Tavern for catching fire. We enjoyed it. Dropped more on beer then I should of, but a good time.

Daniels got those fighters up! Feed! Lol

I'm up early and about to get more Backpackers finished up!

I should have a few more knives up for sale later, let's hope this snow stops so I can get some outdoor pics! My indoor pics are really bad... I will buy some cheap fixtures when I get back for decent indoor lighting.

It will be tricky with the sales and taking off tomorrow for Texas... I'm likely going to pull any knives that haven't sold by noon or so. I am running out of time to pack! lol
 
That's the upswept one right? I added the swedge and blended the tip a bit more... it's the last one in the Pocket Fighter thread. I need to do one with the flat to convex bantam grind next.
 
Oh I see! Well lets chat. This morning, one of these are mine :)

Worst night of sleep in awhile. Up coughing, dry, couldn't parch my thirst. Dog is barking off his rocker throughout the night because of the high winds. Woooo tonight's a Nyquil night I think!
 
Hey Daniel, be sure to keep your chimney clean. If you burn a lot of pine, creosote builds up quick and can catch on fire!
 
Reminds me of those Creosote log commercials that have been airing lately. I've never heard of it until this year!

Farchyld,Hope you feel better! It seems it is going around . Jen and I are both sick. Oh well I will just eat ice cream and hand finish knives today.

Hand finishing is awesome and you can do it while watching some TV.

I just dope up on meds and hope for the best. Short week coming up, thankfully. Any luck, USPS is kind and I get my DFKs before Turkey day.

Awaiting my carbide bit. We'll see if I can get holes in those already HT'd blades or not. If not, oh well :)
 
Ugh, 9 hours down, and 2 more until I get home from work. Still another 1.5 before I even clock out for the night.

Hope everyones Sunday is going good! I'm just looking forward to having tues-weds-thurs off! I am going to get somthing done in the shop this time!!!

Morning guys!

Cold and a bit of fog rolled in this morning. Not too bad, got about 300 feet visibility, 42*f and 110% humidity.

My hands hurt and don't move very well when the weater is like this.


3 days until "the feeding!"

I don't have any access to an end mill, unfortunately. Just my HF drill press and these guns. *flexes*

42f sounds good, Xander. We've had a cold spell here lately that is unforgiving to my dry skin D:
