I just got done hand sanding for the night. This rhyno paper is the shit!

Daniel I think ima leave your HT finish on the tips lf these. It looks like they 're on fire! Fairly Forge Finish!

Have a great day all! Ima take my wife to go see a movie.

Afternoon fellas.

Had a half day at work today, so the wife came and picked me up, then we headed to the flea market. I scored a ultra schweet tripod for $20! A genuine Leitz Tiltall with original carry case, all knobs and in great shape with no scratches or dens, and everything moves freely and easily. Daniel, this is what your tripod is a clone of, that one is still an excellent unit, but now I see the differences between them.

Gotta rebuild a rear wheel for a buddy now and the wife isn't feeling too great so I can't get out to the shop. Stuck inside with the boy. Oh well, having fun anyways!

Nice find! Those Tiltall's are great pods for lighter rigs - and $20 is a great price, especially with the original case.

Shoot, this thing is pretty darn solid I wouldn't have a problem throwing a 10# rig on there. This thing also extends well over 6' tall! Considering throwing a manfrotto quick release plate on there too.

Wow, I recognize the lines... nice score!

Farchyld, that sounds great! The HT finish was really looking good.

Lazy day here, worked on a business plan for the Hunters and kegged an Amber Ale... a malty one with Munich Malt and a hint of German Hallertauer hops. :D

Good idea. I think these were rated at 13lbs or so - I just make a distinction between those tripods that can carry my big rigs (18-25lbs) and those that are only for dSLRS and Medium format. :)

Yeah, I wouldn't trust a mahagony and brass 8x10 on this head, but the legs are more than stable enough! That ball head I bought for Daniels tripod had something like a 40# rating and 100# grip force with a 36mm ball joint. Btw, Daniel, how's that thing holding up? You should try some long exposure stuff of the stars with it if you haven't yet.

Daniel, the main difference between this one and yours is this has all metal bushings in the locking collars on the legs, your has plastic (not really a bad thing, just cheaper to make), this has all metal knobs and this is the original head for it, the head that came on yours was some funky video head (some replaced it at some time), I still have it and might try to fix it, but the ball head is quite nice for as simple as it is.

Mmm, beer! Have you ever used rock candy for the sugar in your Belgian beers? Its one distinct flavor I do enjoy about them. Business plan for the hunters...just send them all to me and I will send you money constantly for a long time!

Bulleit is my standard, Wild Turkey is my fall back, and George Dickel #12 is my exceptional.

Although, tonight the liver has been determind evil and found deserving of punishment. Been a looooong time since I have been out of rum in the house. Nothing like getting jrunk wit the wife on a sundy night! Watching the grammy's, drinking cuba libré's (aka rat poison acc. to Kermmak) and talkin sh!t on all the music we think is fake. Good times!

The tripod is great! I do need some long exposure pics, good idea. I should go to Durango and get a long exposure of town at night, the cars should be cool.

Belgian Candy Sugar - fo sho! I have 7 beers kegged that I made and my Belgian Golden Strong Ale is my favorite. I like that heat and funky flavor the sugar brings.

DFK Belgian Golden Strong Ale

11# 2 Row Barley
1# Crystal 20
1/2# White Wheat
3 oz Caramunich
1/2# Cara Pils
2# Sugar
@ 60 min 1/2 oz Warrior Hops
@ 60 min 1/2 oz Centennial Hops
@ 15 min 1/2 oz Simcoe Hops
@ 2 min tsp Sweet Orange Peel

Safale T-58 Belgian Yeast

Off the wall hops and Caramunich... came out outstanding!

I'll send you all of those Hunters then!:D

Damn Xander, great find. Whiskey.....I go with Knob Creek.

I've got to try that. The George Dickel No.12 is a good one... we have some good local Whiskey too.

Bulleit is another I want to try, I just had their straight rye a few weeks back and it was killer!

Right now... coffee! dark and smokey locally roasted and pretty cheap too!

You've gotta have...

a good woman
good knives
good whiskey
good coffee
good music
good food!

Rolf you can substitute Red G10 and Tantos for the liquor! Probably a good call. :D

I hope you guys have the women, food and drinks... I'll work on the knives and here's the music!

I just watched a movie about Levon Helm... what a talented guy! In college we rocked this every morning on the way to class.

Good whiskey and good coffee?! Now we're talkin'!

That reminds me that I need to grab a bottle of Bulleit again. I drank it almost exclusively last summer, good stuff! Right now I'm on WT Rare Breed, Knob Creek Barrel Proof and Old Forester Signature. All three are fantastic, the Knob is a bit overpriced IMO, the WT is as good a bourbon as you'll find for $30 and Old Forester Signature at $22 is a steal!

Afternoon guys! About to grab some lunch. So hungry.

Had a belt break on me yesterday! Holy scared shitless, haha.

I agree, knob creek is over priced, especially compared to Bulleit.

Listening to my favorite Hungarian accented French singer Boggie this morning. I love al kinds of music, internatonal music is one segment I enjoy from time to time...

Here's her crazy new video, its making a statement about the unattainable beauty designers are plastering all over magazines and such. Boggie, Nouveau Parfüm.

someone kill me and this tapmatic!!! yargghh!

'been working on setting up this Tapmatic from 7-7 with zero progress... rough day, no pay!

I'll get there I know but I'm not sure how yet. :D These folders are about to do me in, lol!

I forgot about the Forester, that is some good stuff.

I can only think about this tapper right now... wish me luck!

Mornin' Daniel! You get that tapmatic figured out?

Good morning!

No luck yet with the tapmatic but I'll figure it out. There's nothing like spending all day trying to remove a stuck arbor. I looked it up and apparently it happens a lot with the JT33 taper I have. I REALLY want to get these folders going!
