Yesterday wore me out, I've been researching more on removing the arbor... found detailed instructions from Tapmatic. it's complicated, lol wish me luck! I might have to soak it in dry ice to shrink it... I may go make and heat treat a set of wedges first. I'll do it!

I've been working on 3d CAD too. I consider getting the Hunter scales router cut before hand finishing.... maybe removable cnc'd scales? It will likely keep them very affordable. Input wanted!

So much for my day off, the boy's school called and his teacher "thinks" he has pink eye. Last time it was just allergies, which is what I told his teacher but their policy is if a teacher thinks it is, you have to pick up the kid from school, take them to the doctor and get a note before they can come back. Its only one eye again this time, so most likely its just irritated. I have been thoroughly unimpressed with his teacher this year, seriously considering changing schools for him.

Ugh, well I guess its a guys day! Gonna be nice out, maybe we'll head to the park for a bit.

Oh, Daniel, canned air might be enough to shrink it and quicker than dry ice. Just hold the can upside down and spray.

Yeah, I swear the boy just waits until my days off to do this stuff! Of course, some of the kids come to school just looking like they're covered in germs, not the kids fault, but it still irritates me.

I setup a monitor stand for a coworker, and a freakin thin wrench fell out. This thing looks like the exact size wrench I need to swap out my chop saw blade! I can't wait to take it home and see if I can get the chop saw up and running again! Wooo!

Ash says I have dishes to do. They're the only obstacle in my way now!

Bobby, If that is not the right size wrench,let me know what size you need and if I have one I will send it to you. I have a whole drawer of thin wrenches.

Also, Kevin, I tried that wrench. Good thickness (thin!), but wont fit the nut inside the damn chop saw. D:

Nada. I lost the wrench that came with my HF chop saw. Some searching in the internet didn't come up with much. I may just scour for a tool that is adjustable and looks like it will fit, haha.

Morning dudes!

I hope you find that wrench... come to think of it I have a HF chop saw and have no clue where the wrench is, lol! Can you measure it with calipers and find a single wrench at the pawn shop? Sometimes they have oddball stuff.

The tapmatic has a 1/2" shaft to JT33 taper inside... my goal is to remove the shaft (this is standard) and the tapmatic fits right on my JT33 drill press spindle. No luck still but the shaft fits in a 1/2" mill collet... which works! I'm buying some compressed air like Xander mentioned once I make it to town, it can do the trick.

I need to wait a few days for the right thread forming taps for the folders and they will be back on soon! Several fixed blades are pretty much complete too and after that I'm back on Kydex.
