No kidding Liam. Some of our roads here are abysmal. Under the one bridge near my house, we have people waiting to use the other lane, because that side of the road is so awful.
 
Liamstrain that is rough! The road I live on is one of the worst in the county... 3 miles of un-maintained potholes and ice and that is just to get to my mailbox! 2 rims and three tires though, ouch!

Sloth357 yes I do need to get those swords going! If they fit in my kiln I'd have them done. S7 katana/wakizashi set!

No, my apologies... we have been running late. A few unexpected things came up this week but we should be getting them out today.
 
liam, you should learn to drive around them, not thru them :D My wife thinks its a game.. hit all the holes you can! My truck likes potholes though.. trucks > cars

Check this nasty hole in the ice on our creek... :eek: the water mush be cranking by at 10 knots and the rest of the creek is frozen! I's a home-made bridge with no guardrail at the bottom of a sketchy hill! This is just downhill from the shop.

 
Morning guys!

Off work today, at my parents house gotta mow their lawn. I didn't like doing this when I still lived here, and now I have to do it for them again. Being on a 1/4 acre lot in town is nice, but sucks to mow.

Bobby, this is all I got for you. No pics of them destroyed, but I will tell you they were delicious when I destroyed some! Having several dozen of these things in the house can be tempting, but I don't eat them often.

Liam, You should look in to Z Rims for your car. It might make it a bit squirrely at hi speeds but you can just tighten the spokes. :D Sorry , 80's BMX humor.

Good Morning y'all !
I will be making the scales,AGAIN, for the knife I am working on. I really have it in my brain what I want this thing to look like when it is done. So , I have to make the scales in a way I have never tried.I jacked up the first set but I will get it this time!!!! Shakes fist in the air...
 
:mad: so much for my day off. One of the supervisors called me and he couldn't find a sitter for his kids, their mom was not answering her phone and he waited until 30 minutes before his shift started to call me. I managed to finish mowing my parents lawn, which was a pain because the mower hasn't had a spring tune up yet and kept dying after 2 minutes, put it all away, drove home (right past work) got clean clothes, let the dogs out, changed, my neighbor stopped me to chat, jumped in the truck and flew to work, clocked in ready to go only two minutes late.

Finally starting to settle down! But I now get a weekend day off for coming in today. Good thing I didn't start drinking yet!

heh. I should have clarified, it was my wife driving. :/ Alloy rims are great, but you can't just bend them back into shape when Chicago roads get too rough a hold on them.

Z-rims, there's a blast from the past.

Xander - sorry about having to go in and work. Money is good and all, but so is down time.
 
Mmm expecting numerous goodies Monday. Must somehow avoid rushing the weekend, haha.

Gotta agree. It's nice to have money, but at some point personal time is priceless.
 
Make sure she understands there is no prize for hitting the most potholes in a season!

Z-rims were cool, but I never rode bmx. I started mountain biking in the late 80's an haven't been without a MTB since. Never got into doing wheelies all day long or big jumps, just give me some gnarly single track, tight overheads, throw in some baby heads and off camber turns into switch backs and I'm a happy camper!

Might go out and get plastered tonight, my good buddy is having his birthday bash at the local whiskey tavern. Gonna be a good time and it's only 500 feet from my front door!

Exactly! There's also two more bars between there and my house! So if I get lost I'll just stop in for another drink :D
