Hi guys, i ordered for a second time at knifeworks my second Izula and some maxpedition gear and didn't had a response from Roger to my question other than "thanks". I was asking him to tell me the availability of the gear i wanted BEFORE ordering.. because im in some kind of a rush for the next expedition... but i decided to order anyway since he had a good rep on this forum.

From those of you who know him better than me / and the website.. how can you be sure of the availability of the stuff you order ? if the "add to cart" button is there = available ? I noticed a "temporary out of stock" on 1 item .. izula scale.. would it be mentionned "temp out of stock" on every item he dont have ?

I got 10 business days left before the expedition.. March 19 is my deadline .. March 20 im in the wild

I've dealt with them quite a bit and they're always very helpful and ship quickly.
The best way to check inventory and ask questions is to call them, not e-mail them.

Toll Free: (888)225-9775 (USA ONLY)
Local: (318)649-8401
Fax: (318)649-0597

Edit: I just noticed that you're in Canada. If you don't mind the cost of the phone call it's still an option.

I got my HEST (along with a LM Wave) from him and the transaction was perfectly smooth. In fact, KnifeWorks was the only place I found the HEST in stock at the time.

The question was really: how to see if the item is available or not on the web site ?... beside calling..
If there is no way to know. then i got my answer.. i already know its a great dealer .. i'll just wait .

Dealt with them a lot. Generally (99%?) if it's listed and doesn't have an OUT OF STOCK message, they have it or can get it quick (day or two).
I'm pretty sure the web pages are not auto updated by an inventory system so a human has to do it...and we all know that can lead to oversights.

As noted, calling is the only way to be totally sure. It's toll free and super nice and interesting folks to talk to.

KnifeWorks rocks!

They'll take your order right on the phone and ship it the same day. Very polite and the call is toll free. Doesn't help on the weekend. I agree that they mark their stock appropriately.

Inventory in a dynamic environment can be tricky. In some cases vendors have the item directly and in others they have relationships with the builder and ship that way. I have no idea how their relationship with esee is at the current time, but I've never had a problem with KW. They have been very good about returns, trouble shooting other issues, etc. The few times I've spoken with Roger, words such as 'I'm going to make it right' came out of his mouth. I would just call directly and inquire that way.
