I'm looking at a few knives on Knifeworks that I would like to buy. Has anyone bought any knives from Knifeworks and what has been your experience with them?

I bought a S90V Manix 2XL - they shipped quickly, and everything on their end went well, but their packing was terrible. The Manix 2XL is a heavy knife and it ended up tearing its own box up in transit. I have saw quite a few of those knives, and more than half had the same tears on the bottom of the box.

Good prices, fast shipping, overall decent vendor, but if the box your knives come in is important (especially when the box used by the manufacturer isn't particularly sturdy for the weight of the knife in it), you might want to shop elsewhere or make a special request that they pay very close attention to packing your items.

That sounds like a problem for Spyderco to resolve on their end. If a company fails to include adequate packaging to prevent the product from destroying the container (box in this case), that is something to be looked into by the manufacturer. There is very little chance that knife (I own several) would eat its way out of a USPS Flat Rate box. No everyone cares as much about the box itself though, many people simply throw it out. I know, blasphemous right. ;)

Box isn't important to me, just the knife. I spoke called the company and asked if they could look over the knife for me before sending out and she said to put side notes in when I purchase. I told them to look over the knife for any defects etc.. before sending out. I find this is the best way to make a purchase online is to call them up and ask them to hand pick one and look it over.

Roger has been one of my prime enablers, er, make that 'retailers' for some time now. You can't find a better company to do biz with.

Haven't received it yet, but I ordered an Endura Super Blue from Knifeworks in the early afternoon on Friday and was shocked to see a shipping confirmation in my email before I left work at the end of the day. That alone has me pretty pleased with them, especially considering when I ordered my Yojimbo 2 from BladeHQ it didn't get shipped for days.

I guess I'm lucky. I have bought 3 Manix XL's from KW. Two s90v's and one s30v.Not one problem with the way they packed or shipped with any of them. All Spyderco boxes where in great shape. KnifeWorks is always my first go too online vender when looking for a new knife.

As already said......

Lots of very good dealers and knifeworks is one of them. I've used many times over many years. ..never let me down yet.

I probably lean more on them than any other online dealer. Never had any problems, quick shipping, great selection, and generally close to the best price if not flat out the best. The only online entity I would rate higher is Kershawguy and, frankly, Mr. Anderson is in a class all his own.
