Just had me a long talk with Roger over at Knifeworks, and let me just say that a better retailer I've yet to deal with.
I usually buy from Roger whenever I'm looking for a production knife; as long as he has it, that's where I go. On May 19th I ordered a Spyderco Endura 4, the one with the ZDP-189 steel, and the pot was sweetened due to Knifeworks offering a 5% discount on all Spyderco knives.
Here's where the plot sickens. Most likely I misspelled the code, and no discount was given. I sent them an email and Ashley responded that they'd credit my account the 5%. I thought I had paid with PayPal and no credit had been sent there, but what the hell I says, give them time.
So last night I order a Boker Warncliffe from Knifeworks, something I'd been wanting to play with on the EdgePro, and when it came down to checking out, STILL no credit from the Spyderco Endura order.
When something like this happens I always blame myself first and the retailer second but now I'm so confused I fire off an email to Roger and as soon as the man arrives at work he calls me up to explain what went on. Yes, they DID credit me, they credited my credit card, the invoice of which I never see because I'd somehow screw that up as well.
Bottom Line: You simply can't do better than the folks at Knifeworks. As long as you can figure out that Louisiana accent you're good to go. Him speaking his way and me talking New Yawk must have been something to hear.
