Knifezilla.com

I bought from Josh. Got what I ordered in the time frame he stated.
Smooth transation. We've got to remember there is alot of mail and parcels being shipped through the postal system and that some of them will be delayed or even lost.

I know all about the not answering emails-thingy. I've had some problems with orders from him, but he's a very nice and fair guy, and will replace any loss, I think.
You haven't told us where you live, but if you live in a bali-forbidding country, and Josh didn't know (i.e. didn't prepare the package for the customs), that could be your problem right there.

Good luck.

i think knifezilla is a decent store, their prices are somewhat average meaning not the cheapest but they are willing to ship to california, and josh was real nice when i called him up. my stuff came in three days so....

Again, I have to play the heartless bastard.

If you KnifeZilla doesn't make you happy, I strongly encourage to stop doing business with them and find someone who can.

My strong recommendation goes to www.newgraham.com, Mike is a standup guy and except for when he left on vacation and Tom had to fill in for him, I never had to wait more than 24 hours for any emails I sent to him to get replied. His prices are the best around, his service is prompt, friendly, and speedy. Also you get a little Bandaid dispenser thingy with your order :)
Seriously though, i've tried a few net knife merchants (1sks, knifecenter, bestknives) and all were fine, but New Graham Pharmacy goes beyond fine, and for that, i'm a permanent customer.

I think Mike will ship anywhere you want, you just gotta pay the shipping (however much it is) and he's not liable for any customs confiscations.

He was willing to ship a Spyderco Commerative Worker to Israel and was in negotiations with a fella about doing so, but this fella seemed to expect that if the Worker got ripped by Customs that Mike would eat it. Of course Mike found this situation unacceptable and to the best of my knowledge this business transaction was never concluded.

Although Mike may not ship to Canada because he knows it's illegal, I'm really not sure.

>>he's a very busy guy, he gets alot of emails.

That is one of the big reasons I quit selling butterfly knives. For some reason, when someone buys a cheap $5 china made knife, they have lots and lots of questions. It was not at all unusual for me to spend a hour answering questions for someone who was buying a $5 knife.

I asked one guy how much money he made an hour. He said he was a attorney and made $30 and hour. But he took up well over an hour of my time over a $5 knife and he could care less that I was not making any money on the deal.

About the time I was working up to 20 hours a day, and my right wrist was so sore from using a mouse I could hardly move it, and we were only making maybe $600 a month profit, I decided we would be better off to send my wife out to work at McDonalds. We would make more.

I have to give a vote for Josh.
If the guy is busy I respect him for that. I appreciate
the products he makes available to us.

I vist www.bladeauction.com all the time-
The site is great, you don't find that kind of knife
selection on Ebay.

I enjoy checking out the action on the automatic knives on
www.videoknife.com.

I have bought from Josh direct through www.pvk.com several time.
He has always come through and in timely fashion. Normally with
my order I will receive a free folder knife and a voucher for
$10 discount next order.

No complaints here. Go Josh!

Someone just reported this post - I have to agree, it belongs in GBU.

I have bought multiple knives from him. He could never be accused of being the cheapest guy out there, but I think he is fair to a fault. I bought a knife from him and it got gone during shipping. UPS confirmed it as a "parcel drop out-not delivered" or something like that. But anyway, I shot him a e-mail and we negotiated a new deal-he only had one of the knife I was wanting. It never got nasty or anything. I have even talked to him on the phone once or twice on different matters.

For what it is worth-I think you will get your stuff.

Years ago when I first got into knives, I had one order with JB go "tango uniform", and another that took a month or so to straighten out. My own experience led me to move on to others I felt I could trust more.

The biggest problem I see is that he's been having complaints like this for years. Geez, the flame wars we used to see on rec.knives... You'd think that he'd figure it out by now or learn not to over-extend himself so badly. Being an ambitious business person is one thing, but when customers are being negatively affected, that's contrary to one's goals. If he can't afford to hire another person that he can trust with this many businesses going, maybe a step back is in order.

Just my $0.02, or $0.000290854 Canadian. :p
