Ok, Knifezilla's website has a lot of tempting knock offs that I may buy as beaters, how is the quality of their stuff? Will the cheap knives hold ANY edge?

Just curious, how do you get to that page starting from the home page? Just wondering because it seems like that page might be old. (SKU MSR001B )

I can click on it, that works, I was just wondering how you start at the PVK home page and navigate tehir site to get to that page. All I could find was legit stuff.

If you go through the main page, and then click the icon for Knifezilla.com, then you can come to alot of knockoff knives that I wouldnt trust to open my mail. The same guy runs both sites. Some of teh knockoffs are very blatant, and he knows but would rather make the money than be an ethical part of the knife industry. That and his prices on the legit stuff are quite high.

I don't buy beaters online. I save that for the gun shows where I get to handle them a bit. IMO, buying a knock-off online isn't worth the hassle if you receive something sh*tty.

How can the call a knife the "Master Klotzli Design Folder" that looks just like a Klotzli? Wouldn't Klotzli be a trade mark?

Personally I would stay away from all of the cheap knock off's. Get a Kershaw Vapor at Wal-Mart for $20

edit to add: They rip off Boker, Cold Steel, Smith & Wesson, Spyderco, Kershaw, CRKT, Benchmade, Camillus, Emerson, and CRK just to name the few that I saw with a quick look.

I wouldn't buy anything from them and they should be talked to about the products they carry by a couple of Lawyers (even though I hate lawyers).

Thanks for the help, I found them now.

Yeah they rip off everybody, they even rip off United Cutlery, something I didn't think possible.

WOW! VERY blatant rip-offs of designs and even using the original names as part of their "company names" for the "blades". I'm surprised that this company is in the U.S. and not Asia. Because it's in the U.S. I believe that there has to be SOME type of copy write violation there but I'm not positive.

A closer review reveals that there are (as mschwoeb pointed out) some legit manufacturers listed (mixed in with what has to be copies of other manufacturers) but pretty high prices.
