Knifezilla to NYC

I am a postal employee, I am self employeed on paper but work for a nice women who has a goverment postal highway contract... and I can tell you that UPS now has a contract (not 100% on havign a contract, but they definatly have a deal of some kind) with USPS and they sometimes give USPS some of their stuff to be delivered whe they are overloaded...if you paid for UPS and get it USPS you are entitled to your shipping monye back, just call UPS and let them know...

Oh, no no. It wasn't that UPS shipped it USPS. They guy who I bought the knives from shipped it USPS himself instead of UPS which is what I requested and paid for.

Have you contacted them yet regarding the "product mismatch"? What did they say?

Good point. A deal is a deal, and shipping by the wrong carrier can be a real problem, ... but fortunately in this case, the knives did get there.

The wrong knives -- that's more of a problem because if you have to send them back to get what you originally ordered, it's extra time and effort.

Shell, at least you got knives. :o

The one and only time I ordered from them I waited a whole fricking month and a half and still never got my knife.

I called and emailed about every other day starting after a week and a half, because it really shouldn't have taken longer than a week. Every time I was told "wow thats weird - I shipped it myself - should be there anytime." This went on for literally an entire month and a half. Finally, when talking to them on the phone yet again, and hearing them say "well, just give it another couple of days" I told them I was going to contact my credit card company and dispute the charge (Since they charged me a month and a half ago) and they refunded my money.

No knife ever showed up.

Oh ok, then I missunderstood...Just saying sometimes people don't realize that if you pay for UPS or even DHL too, then sometiems you might start off with that compnay but USPS ends up actually giving it to you or leaving it on your doorstep, it happens more often these days...Not many people know that they can do that...

I sent the email to them through their site basically saying "Two of the products you sent me (of the same type) are clearly not as depicted on your site. How can we remedy this?"

Still no responses. Calling tomorrow if I don't get something fast.

In case you didnt know, knifezilla is owned by the same guy who runs PVK.com and videoknife.com ....So perhaps you cna try to contact him through one of those other sites as well? I have heard of him being good to soem customers and crappy to others, sort of a hit and miss with him...Althoguh I never ordered from him before, I found his site videoknife to be entertaining, but I wish he would update it...Same knives for over 2 years, lol...

Called today. Exchanging the two wrongly substituted knives for something of equal value. Sending them in tomorrow. Will keep everyone posted

Knifezilla is a division of PVknife. Which is one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with.
Josh, a very nice guy (over at PV knife) has always followed through on every deal, and has never given me any grief. Unlike the Bladeshop you actually get the knife, and very speedy as a matter of fact.

UPS and USPS are both good, but UPS lost one of my packages (not a knife) for about 3 weeks now, and I still have not gotten it.:grumpy:

Bill

By the way, forgot to say that I did send back the two mismatches yesterday pending replacement.

shell, i feel your pain. I ordered from PVK and its been a week two emails and a phone call and i still have nothing but a charged card. Anyone have any advice as to how i should go about this? Or in reality am i just making a fuss about nothing? Keep in mind i live in a town only 2 hrs away.

shell6... I want to congratulate you for still being here.......

After some of your opening posts I would have bet you would have been "short lived" on Blade Forums ..... :D

BUT, you have reined it in in an impressive way.... seriously ...... ;)

You have surely gotten screwed around on this deal and I hope you finally do get it sorted out.

I also hope this serves as a warning to anyone else to not deal with this company.

Hang in there man.......

Btw an update. I eventually got him to pick up and told him that my replacement still wasnt here (!) and that I was pretty sure it must have gotten stolen in the mail. He told me that he was pretty sure (huh?) that it was sent on the day he said before and that if it was, he will send another package. this is really dragging on for too long.

I tend to agree, along with knives, I am into car audio. I ordered a few thousand dollars worth of items, (spread over three cars). I left specific instructions "Please have someone sign, do not leave on porch). My friend calls me the day of the delivery and says, "hey man, you got a lot of stuff on your porch). As for USPS I have not had one bit of trouble.

God Bless!
