Knives and Coffee

I've always thought that siphon brewers looked interesting, but figured they were kind of a hassle for clean up.

Clean up isn't that much more hassle than a French press. I found the hassle was fiddling with the useless alcohol burners that they get issued with - I have given up with that and just use a butane / propane camping stove that fits under the bulb. The admin is getting it out and setting it up ... in comparison to the "simplicity" of a French press or a Moka pot.

Cut 99% of alcohol about 2 years ago, so I justify gourmet coffee. Stumbled on a coffee roaster/shop in Nevada City, CA last Christmas break and ran into an old acquaintance who owns the shop. Always a treat.

My dad used this mug at work (aerospace engineer working classified projects) for the last 20 years of his career. I wonder what this mug knows!!
