Knives and Coffee

Was finally able to pick up some Sightglass beans the owner of the coffee joint that sells it never orders enough bags so it's taken quite a while to get some. The aroma coming from the bag is quite intoxicating though as far as coffees go!

From Christmas...

SightGlass might just be a little too smooth. It's chocolatey, floral and absent any acidicness. I can see why a lot of people like it, but it's not my favorite. I need a little bit of bitter to balance things out in my coffee. Here's the color on a one tablespoon per regular cup ratio. It reminds me a lot of civit coffee (cat poop coffee) from Vietnam that an old coworker used to sneak in for us. We would drink it for a week a few times a year. While very good, you can only take so much cat poop in a day you know before your running to Starbucks. Lol.

Once the busy time of the year is over I'll switch to quality over quantity coffee, but today was a combination of the left over scraps in 3 tubs of trader joes, whole foods, and new england coffee. At least the GEC is pleasant.

Awesome! One of my favorites out here!

B34 you're going to think I'm criminal, I had to add about a 1:4 ratio of Starbucks medium roast to Sight Glass beans to add a bit of bitter into my morning brew! I'm curious to try their espresso now!
