I just found this thread and started browsing. I realized I have the same coffee maker from an office plundering operation. The group upstairs from me was having a "moving sale" i.e. we are remodeling so come grab our leftover stuff. That reminds me I should use it more... I have like four different ways to make coffee between my home and office and I always choose the hard way...

I use mine every day for 3 or 4 coffees. This is my second one in 25-30 years. I love it.
