Percolator? That’s one brewer I’ve never used if that’s what it is
Yes, electric percolator. Fast, brews good coffee in a size that lasts more than a few minutes and lets me adjust brew strength. Only use it in non-work days. Work days it is k-cups and Keurig.Percolator? That’s one brewer I’ve never used if that’s what it is
I have seen one actually now that I think of it. They had one down at a machine shop we work at in the break room. Had no idea what it was. The lid was off and could see all the grounds sitting on topYes, electric percolator. Fast, brews good coffee in a size that lasts more than a few minutes and lets me adjust brew strength. I grind mine fresh every morning and try to drink all of mine within a week to a month off roast. I’ll vacuum seal and freeze what I’m not going to be able to get to soonWe use an old percolator when we go camping…..on the Coleman gas stove. One time our friend roasted whole Ethiopian beans in a cast iron skillet and then we ground them up and used the percolator, some of the freshest and tasty coffee we ever had. I have heard many times that Americans drink stale coffee and do not know what fresh coffee is really like.
My in-laws use an old Pyrex percolator like this as their main workhorse. The pump stem is VERY fragile and hard to replace. Don't ask me how I know.I grind mine fresh every morning and try to drink all of mine within a week to a month off roast. I’ll vacuum seal and freeze what I’m not going to be able to get to soon
