Haven't tested the Vanguard version of the Gemini but I have the Bladesmith version and really like it! (Wrote a review on it for BF: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1361782-Kizer-Ki3471-quot-Gemini-quot-part-1) And so far I'm mostly very satisfied with the feel and the action of the Intrepid as well. It's on bearings and built as solid as other Kizers. Very nice bladeshape with a blade grind rather thin so it's a good slicer. Comfortable in hand for most parts even though the handle could been a bit less blocky. The only negative is that the lockbar is rather stiff and not very well chamfered so it hurts the thum in the long runt. Also the flipper could have been a bit more rounded. Since it's a bigger knife than the Gemini it's also heavier so if you want a pocketknife go for that one instead!

So far I really really like it. :) Actually I'm going to write a review later on, just have some more testing to do (whittling and stuff). Most things are positive. Really good f&f as usual from Kizer - solid lockup, centered blade, no gaps etc. It flips well (it runs on ballbearings), it's rather comfortable and its a fairly good slicer (not as my recently received GB2! :-))l. The ergos are mostly ok. The handle slabs could have been a bit more rounded but that would of course ad to prize and the same goes for the flippertab which has a bit too sharp corners for my liking. Easy fixed though. I haven't had it long enough to say anything about durability and how well the edges really hold. But it feels like VG10 should and touches up well.

"More is more"

As i stated elsewhere, espressos are nice but sometimes you need VOLUME. Bigger CAN be better!
