As I said in another thread, I'm not really a fan of Jack - the single barrel included - but the last time I tried it, I thought it would probably be better at 110-115 proof...so here we are. I was up at 0300, so I poured a bit & watered it down to about 115 proof. It was okay - not horrible, but not something I'd choose either. I decided to try some straight since I'm getting ready for bed - it tastes better (to me) without the water...but, at the same time, the flavors are subdued by the alcohol.
The knife was sitting on the table so I grabbed it...haven't decided if I want to keep it, yet. (I picked it up at the post office Tuesday)

I'm a fairly new scotch drinker, and I like the island scotches I've tried, so for what its worth...I like it. At first blush, its a little astringtent at the beginning and finishes with a lot of peat and smoke. A friend of mine brought a bottle to the poker game a couple of years ago. This is the first I've tried it since.

I received a confirmation email from PayPal at time of order confirming I made a payment. No additional emails until I got a PayPal shipping email late last week. No emails other than ones auto generated from PayPal to confirm payment and then to show shipping info when a tracking number was entered.

Have faith in the system. I am sure you will see yours soon!
