Knives Are For Cutting Stuff...Do You Have Pictures To Prove It?

Gentlemen, Discuss the Topic, NOT each other. We are not going to continually babysit poor behavior in these threads.
There will be no more warnings. More infractions can be issued as well as the closing of yet another thread.

Am I wrong or is the average age at this site under 20?
Is there anything wrong with that? We all like knives, so what's the difference if a 15 year old like me likes knives or a 40 year old likes knives?

A blade doesn't always need to LOOK like it has been used. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1372947002.442531.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1372947018.226175.jpg

These two blades have seen more daily use than most (one has cut perhaps 1000 feet of boards, about 500 golf balls, and countless rope cuts, the other sees lighter duty daily). However, both might be mistaken for safe queens because they are purpose built and do not show their age/use because they are not mistreated.

I could take one of my straights and pose it being hammered through some sticks, and it would look used and abused when I'm done...but what is the point of that?

CPM M-4 blade being used to relocate a jelly that washed up on the beach. This knife is also a daily user.

Hard to see, but that is the same competition blade posing in the first image mid-cut;)

I can personally testify to the edge retention of an endura 4 in typical garage door installation duties. Stripping and cutting bell wire, opening boxes, fishing splinters of wood and steel out of your hands...it is a great knife and it does get used. I do agree with some of the other posters that it can be difficult in a work situation to take pictures of a knife...but it does happen.

I use the $@#% out of mine, more it costs the more I use it. Gonna get my monies worth.

purely awesome

I guess some feel that it's not all too hard to share some photo's LOL

lol sure isn't. I love knives and using them, and since I've got a pretty decent digicam I carry it everytime I hit the woods. I also do quite a few knife reviews, so lots of pics get taken.

How bout some more pics.

This Extrema Ratio Ontos and Becker BK4 get abused like no other, they love getting beat on.

I'm down with opinels too, my favorite carving knife is this beechwood #8. Been heavily modified since this pic was taken.

I've seen some pretty serious carving skills here on BF and alot on bushcraftusa too.

I imagine alot of guys put em to lots of use and just don't take pics.

Agreed, I havn't checked out any carving here on the forums but the Great Outdoors section has a lot of cool stuff & different uses, interesting to see what people do here in gen. though ;)

I use all my knives. I don't think I've posted a picture of a knife that hadn't been recently used, used that day, in use, or fulfilling its purpose (on a belt for defense type thing). I therefore submit every picture I've posted on here so far.
