Knives at Walmart

In that case, a CHIVE shouldn't even cause a raised eyebrow there, the blade on mine shows at 1 7/8ths".

Just returned from both of our Walmarts here in SPFLD. IL. and instead of demo knives in the display cases wally has pulled them all out in faver of a more politically correct plackerd card of photoes of what knives the store stocks! WHAT THE %#** is this. Both stores are the same way, Anyone else noticed the new policy at WALLY WORLD?

yeah, they do that sh!t here in Phoenix too down at the local Y'all-mart. I went to look at a chive and the chick behind the counter fumbled around for 5 minutes looking for the knife that matched the picture, she kept having to get up and lean over the counter to look at the picture.

this move has just been inforced in the last couple weeks. Personally i think it sucks, especially after they just up graded the stock to better quality knives. OH WELL!!!! CATER TO THE SHEEPLES

After reading the thread about the good buys at Wally World, the wife, and I jumped into our truck, and headed to Super Wally World South of town(Reno) to check out the Kershaws, We don't buy alot of production knives anymore, BUT we both like Kershaw Ken Onon models, and have some of each. There quality is tops(for the $$$), and so is their customer service.

Anyway we get to Super WAlly World, and they have nothing, out of stock but some due in any day. I told the clerk we lived North of Reno, and there is a store by us but did not check it as according to what was said here I figgered I had a better chance of getting a couple at the Super store. He asked if I wanted to call the store by us, and I said yes so he got on the horn, and they said they had acouple of Vapors in stock so we zoomed up there.Well they did have three Vapors but were China made, and I can see what you people are talking about as quality was not up to snuff, BUT they did have some Vapor II's in serrated blade, and they were made in Japan, and only $24.95. The quality was a lot better, and the wife held one, and said "I really like this Vapor II over the Vapor, and quality is much better".
So I went through the 5 or so Vapor II's they had, and took 2(one for myself, and one for the wife), and left the store with a smile. They are both very sharp, and there are$15-$20 cheaper than anyone else in town where everyone sells retail or above.
These will make a nice accompanyment to the Chives we already have, and gives us good user knives when we don't want to abuse our customs we carry.

Larry :D
