Knives for 2017

FFKW/Gavko Spinner aka the Finner. (Sorry for the crappy YT screen caps. That's all they've shown so far)

Probably going to be the least spendy thing listed, but it's the same knife I was most looking forward to in 2016 sadly; the Spyderco Rhino.

Here's hoping the second run checks out.

Probably a Shirogorov F95R, although the CKF MILK that just showed up is filling in very, very nicely in the meantime.

Not a whole lot interests me so far. Most of the info released by cold steel has been different color handles than just black, and a butt load of affordable knives that use 4116 (gag). Spyderco has a lot of interesting models coming out, but most are too expensive for my taste, and I already pre-ordered the only one I'm ecstatic about (Para 3). I'm looking forward to seeing what Lionsteel is going to make this year, as well as Millit knives, We knives, and Steel Will. The Steel Will Mini Cutjack (3 in blade) in G10 w/ M390 has caught my eye.

There is a few folders still on my list but I can say I'm pretty content with the ones I have right now..

2017 is going to be a fixed blade kind of year. Going to try and pick up some from Fiddleback Forge, Bradford Guardians and some Survive! GSO's

There are only 2 knives on my must own list right now. The Spyderco UKPK in S110V for about $80 is an absolute no brainer. While it isn't a new 2017 knife it came out pretty recently, and that's the Hogue X5 flipper. With those I don't think there are knives I want out there. There is an end point for my collection finally!

There is never an end point :) Maybe an end point for a brief period of time, but something will always catch your eye!

More sebenzas, I hope in large mamooth with damascus. One can dream right? ;)

Now that pics were released, definitely getting this brother to give my Rawles Voyager some decent company...

I'm really liking the Freeman flipper in D2.
Might pick one up.

I highly recommend it. It's every bit a serious knife, but loads of fun. Build quality is extremely high and the flipping action is nearly incomparable. Just be a bit careful until you get used to closing it, the blade drops freely and it can definitely be a finger-guillotine if you're not.

I don't think I will be looking for a new knife in '17. I think I have THE one!!

I'd like to find a Case 337-6"Q and Marble's Woodcraft in decent shape for decent prices.

Something from the small side of the Busse lineup. A HACK would be just fine:

If I'm fast enough, and the price is right.

A CQC 14.

I have a thing for the weird knives.

As it is, the Cold Steel 4 Max is just too stinking big for my taste, so although I'm a fan of the locking mechanism, I'm going to skip it.

If they come out with a 3.5" version, I might give them some money, and if Cold Steel gets smart out puts out a 3" blade (the 3-Max?), I will knock all of you down, to be the first in line! :D

Cold Steel teased us for a long time about the 4 Max, so I don't expect a more "fun-size" version for several years, if ever. Seems like "bigger is better" is their unofficial motto.

I've given up on the folding Izula, and I'm not sure about the folding version of the TOPS B.O.B. I really like the general idea, but we're talking about yet another locking liner knife with a 4+" blade, and that's just more knife than I need for everyday carry.

Microtech Ultratech. It would be the most expensive knife I have owned, but man they just look so cool.

Of what I've seen so far, Kizer Fiest. I'm excited to try a quality front flipper design. I love the minimalost design.

I've always liked the Spyderco Delica lineup, so I would like to try the new Wharncliff model at some point. I need another Paramilitary in my life, so why not try the new Para3?

I'm sure there are plenty more I want to try, but I must have spydies on the brian this AM.

The Feist is definitely the most exciting yet-to-be released knife for me.

Other likely purchases, now available:

Mora Kansbol
A.G. Russell Woodswalker
Byrd Raven 2
