M1A1 is a sweet sweet Thompson .45 ACP. and a tank hahah. Not to nit pick, but you mean the M1A1, AKA M14 right? The M1 is 30-06. Although I did buy a Special M1 from CMP in Camp Perry a few years ago that was chambered in .308. It was rebarrelled by the CMP armors & used a plug in the action so the shorter .308 cartridge would work. I sure wish I wouldn't have sold that.
Thanks gator. It’s fitting in our current day and age.Like your new avatar my friend![]()
Nice! What caliber is that CZ?

Yes. There are some conversions floating around in .9mm, but mine isn’t one of those. Mine is just a basic 7.62x25 imported by CAI. Still not super collecty yet. Good time to buy if you like early Czech firearms with phenolic/Bakelite grips and needlessly violent cartridges.Don't mean to steal his thunder, but I'm gonna' go with "7.62X25 Tokarev, for $500, Alex."
It’s printed on the slide, duh.Don't mean to steal his thunder, but I'm gonna' go with "7.62X25 Tokarev, for $500, Alex."
Those are neat guns. Some people (like Ted at Mineral Mountain) use “Phenolic”interchangeably with micarta. Same thing apparently.Yes. None taken!Brother, I didn't mean that as a "hah-hah, rib-rib" post.
Hell, if I hadn't seen it on the slide, I probably wouldn't have been able to say for sure, either.
*I'm a semi-old man. If it doesn't have "1911" or ".45 ACP" marked on it, I'm usually left guessing as to what it is.![]()
My first gun. Still have it. ČZ52. It came to me along with a vz.50 because I have ČZ motorcycles.
Nice! This was the pistol that I requested of my grandfather when I turned twenty-one. He’d done the same for his four sons in the seventies, who all requested various flavors of Colt. I didn’t want to break the bank. The CZ52 were going for about $150 twenty years ago, and I think I’d already bought a 452 Trainer by that time.My first gun. Still have it. ČZ52. Fun to shoot. It is a fierce round.
