I have been spending money on them lately like a drunken sailor. Great knives and I love the design. I've now got 5, 3 spider monkeys a bad monkey and a vermin neck knife.^^^^I am a big southern grind fan also--have 4 of their knives.
So far it seems quite decent but I've really not tested it out. I love the knife though, great feel and buttery smooth operation. That OD Southern Grind Tanto is good looking! How is the edge retention of the blade? John
I have been pretty much babying my SGs but as someone else put it, why not use and enjoy them? No one else is going to appreciate them anymore than me!I dont have the tanto bad monkey but the drop point and have done some abusive things to it to see if it stands up like the one in SG video and have to say SG's ht on the 14c28n is pretty damn good as it has held up very well. The guy in SG's video stabbed it into a 55 gallon drum with no ill effects to the edge or tip. Just wow
It sure is built stout and I'm sure it can handle anything just fine, I'm just not used to expensive knives and I'm still worrying about scratching them.the bad monkey is one tank like built folder --go ahead and beat the schitt out of it and have some fun.
