I was following the Arsenal Strike One when it came out, wanted one, then they seemed to disappear and the replacement doubled in price. What happened? I never really followed up.
Same here. The Italian Arsenal Arms was the company basically hired to manufacture the Russian Стриж, or "Strike One", the name that was easily remembered by the Westerners.
It was Russian money behind Italian manufacturer deal.
Here is the Strike one isle at the 2014th SHOT, I also have YouTube Video with the gun being disassembled by one of Larry Vickers' guys, showing it at the isle.
At this point Larry Vickers tested the gun and had very good field response, he was pushing it to the American market, but unfortunately for some reason it didn't happened.
Here is another interesting picture with Erik Prince talking with the head of the Arsenal Arms, the Italian Engineer who made the well known double barrel 1911,
also manufactured by Arsenal Arms (I forgot his name...). The poster on the back is LV shooting the Strike One...
The gun was good, few years after the introduction on the 2014 SHOT, a US company was actually selling it here, via a rep, who lived in Canada, a Russian guy.
I lost track of the gun for few years, just to find out that Salient was marketing essentially the same gun out of Vegas.
I cannot speak for their models and quality of the Salient product, but the original Italian made gun was very good, great ergos, very low bore axis and according to the MARSOC guys
at the SHOT, it was handling the desert conditions flawlessly.
I still want one, even made by Salient...
