I know... I forgot the knives. I'll get new photos. I have a lot more guns than knives. My wife bought me a nice set for Christmas when I managed to cut myself with recently. That thing is sharp!
As so many have told me the Calico is such a weird(I think some said dumb gun), I think its fun. My wife loves shooting it. My buddy and I found a guy selling guns for a friend who’s dad passed. He had so many guns and cases of ammo, it was sick. We ended up buying a bunch of stuff, but the weird one was this guy. My buddy bought the carbide and I ended up taking the pistol. First shoot I over tightened the mag, and broke it. I was left with borrowing my buddies, while I hunted down a replacement.

After crying at the prices on GB and other sites, I kept seeing “New” Calico mags for sell at retail price. I finally bit the bullet and called the company. Turns out the original owners went out of business when the Gov’t did a gun grab and mag restriction. And since this thing holds 50 and 100 round in its mag, they could not sell and closed shop. The lady I spoke to said that someone had bought the company and was in the process of spinning back up…

Well reluctantly I had to Zelle the cash for the mags because they did not yet have CC processing. After a few days, ding dong! You’ve got mail! The brand new in the box mags, I ended up with 3, were perfect, and she even sent me the parts to repair the one I broke. While it is a weird gun. Its a fun one to own!

Nice TCs. That one on the left looks like a mannlicher stock.

I i_am_not_atf

Super cool. I remember handling a walnut Calico carbine for the first time in the ‘90’s at some point. New mags would be a game-changer. The M17S was an object of my desire in those days, and I passed on a Wasp XF7 not too long ago. Some of those weird ‘80’s guns are looking pretty cool now..!

There is an old builder in AZ that does customer guns, David Van Horn, at the Gun Shop. I bought my first contender about 3 years ago. Since then I have added and added. I am up to 4 frames and 6 additional barrels. My favorites are these 3.

The custom stock (I have the matching hand grips but it hurt to shoot) from David Van Horn on the gun on the left is my TC chambered in 7mm tcu, The center was a weird one I found at the gun smith. It has some “special” grips, or so he said. It has a sterling silver plate from TC. He claimed in the 80s it was some limited build they did for one year. I have never found any information. And the one on the right, well that is my 454 casull. Its a hand cannon, super fun to shoot and heavy as could be!

Thanks for the information. I know what you mean about adding. I only have one contender frame but 7 barrels. Put rounds down each except the 375JDJ. Need to load some up and shoot it
