Hey Alone. Love the 1911. Is it gray coated, or just a light black?
Hey Brother, thank you.
That's a 90's-era "Wilson"-massaged 1991-A1 that I carried for many years and restored a few years back. It's a combo of "Sniper Grey" and "Black" Cerakote. (*The frame and slide are black, with all the accoutrement in "Sniper Grey".
‘Cause every kid needs a BAR. And a Python. And a KaBar. Python holster is by Southern Trapper. Exquisite.

I’ve always been an S&W guy for wheelguns. I have a Pre-27 from 1951 that’s about perfect IMO, but since obtaining this new 4” Python, it’s made me realize that there’s room in the world for Colt revolvers. It’s absolutely fantastic.Outstanding BAR.
That 4" Python was my first duty sidearm decades ago. We were only allowed to load with .38 Spl. however. Off duty, I fed it what it was meant to shoot.
I was never a huge wheel-gun guy, but the quintessential Python will always have a special place in my heart.
Good taste there, brother. Big fan of Commander-length, as well. Sorry, no knives in this pic - I will change that soon, lol:

Who does the checkering on your frames/front straps? (*or is that "Factory"?)
The Colt was done by a local 'smith near me. The Les Baer is factory.
I picked up a gen 4 G20 a couple of years ago used at my local shop for what’ll I felt was a good price (somewhat on a whim).I like that! I’ve tried several but still go back to my Gen2 G20 1st release….wayy back but still works great.
