how do you like the Olight?

how does it compare to stream light and other options out there?
I’ve had no problems with mine and I have a couple different ones. That said I’m also not using them every day like LE might etc. They don‘t have all the different functions like more expensive models but they work for me just fine.

Probably going to buy one for my mother, she loves the SFX. It has close to 1000 rounds through it and works great.
From the reviews I’ve seen, it’s more manageable than the Taurus PX4 and the P365, similar to the Hellcat with a bit wider grip. I’m looking to handle one to see for myself.

To add to your info: I've being using my Olights almost every day with dry firing, both S and Mini, plus I got one of the large pistol models, no laser, and the one for the AR with the larger 21650 battery.
One thing - they don't lose charge when left for over a year on some of my guns ( My sweeper also have old 800lm Striker I believe with 18650 battery and never failed)
The new magnetic chargers are great, no removing the unit from the weapon, fast charging etc.
They are complaints about some Olights getting on fire and such, the one I keep in my car (Warrior model, the first one) still uses the same 4-5 yo 18650 battery and works like a champ,
temp often gets over 100 degrees, battery was fine for years.
Personally I'm very happy with those, they hold charge, illuminate very close to the specs and top quality, holding well on FL heat and rain, I got two Seekers Pro, models 2 and 3,
we used them extensively during the last hurricane outages and they were absolutely flawless. They are running great sale, starting tonight @8pm, worth checking it out if whoever is interested.
They are good non-service alternative IMO, and I like the fact that they don't carbon copy any US brand, they have nice R&D department ( info from good friend of mine, rep for O in EU for almost 8 years.)
and fairly good tests on every model to be released, also constantly looking for feedbacks from the reps, about what the end user is interested of, it's Chinese but decent company by my books...

Good to hear I’m not off course saying that they make pretty good stuff for the $$

Real world Deep South, swimming thru humidity EDC 💦☀️🥵

Yup. I live near Savannah Ga. It has been *#&^%!*&% hot as ^&%$##@*&^ the past few days. And more to come.

I remember a few years ago it was 117 with heat index on the ramp (in aviation). The ramp is very reflective light color, almost a bleach white. I don't do so well in the sun anymore and those days were... well as you can see the expletives above, it was darn hot!

People associated with LEO and Military force are usually accustom to Surefire and they stick with them, it's fine, they are solid performers.
For the rest of the non-professional crowd, IMO, I would trust only couple models of Streamlight (TLR), because I did try them and they were solid.
Olight would be my cheaper alternative but mostly for flashlights. Olights will do fine on a weapon but I'd say - mostly the latest models because they
fixed some issues from before. For a pistol that doesn't shoot drills every day and don't get banged on the open range, Olight's weapon lights are fine,
they hold perfect for your night stand gun, for your gun in the vehicle, a rifle you probably hunt with and such.

Sorry, no knife. My old TLR 2, little bit bulky but it works well with the gun and its ( I think) well designed as controls and function.

It really is, but the good part is the optic mounting without plates. Should mount low and almost all available will work without an extra plate.
Looks like they are nice charging cuts front and specifically in the back of the slide,
backstraps options are nice too.
The RD mounting option would be the most welcome to me,
knowing the pain I recently went through finding slide with cut for my optic...
