I've got some parts coming for my Steyr M9 soon, hopefully that will fix it. In 5000+ rounds (I've lost count at this point) it has never had a malfunction other than the fairly recent development of shooting brass straight backwards into my face.

I will probably carry the Beretta again today. Gonna go with the flush standard capacity mags, the extension prints too much unless I'm wearing something baggy. 14+1 or .40 S&W should protect me from suburbanites driving their Teslas talking on their cell phones.

As far as the da/sa CZ's go, they don't seem to make one smaller than my Steyr M9-A1. They have shorter barrels (3.75" vs 4") but the same overall length and height. Width is not a huge deal for me.
Got to handle a Steyr 9mm for first time the other night, no shooting with it but it did feel good in the hand and had a natural point of aim imo. Sights were different design than I’m used to but looked nice and effective 👍🏼
I can see why they have a solid following.

The parts came, I'll be installing them today.

I love the trapezoid sights, I just wish there was a night sight version. The big triangle in front is very nice.

Did you handle the A1 or A2 MF? My brother in law has the A2 MF and likes it, but I like the finger grooves on the A1 better.

The S9-A1 is impossible to find, and they discontinued it with the new model unfortunately.

Update. Long busy day, just finished installing the new extractor, spring, and pin. I noticed on the new one the pin is metal, not plastic, and is cut for exact fitment vs the universal round plastic one. This made it a bit more difficult to install, but should be more durable and more reliable.

Ejection seems to be back to normal when I rack snap caps through it, but I won't know until I shoot it, hopefully tomorrow, or I guess today didn't realize how late it was.

After 6 months sitting in my safe until I had time to contact Steyr, etc, I forgot that this pistol feels like it was made for my hand. Excellent trigger too, though for some the reset could be more audible. It's also the softest shooting 9 I've ever fired.

If it does work correctly, I hope to get at least 5000 more rounds through it. I think I'm at close to 6000, could be more.

Got a new AR tekmat at Bass pro today (I was in the area. Going to order an AK one. Too bad I can't find one for the Tavor SAR, only the X95.

No night sights available…I’m surprised about that. I believe it was the A2 M9 model, the midsized one. To be honest it looks like it wouldn’t be good in the hand but it is imo. Looks too heavy but has good balance actually.
