Photos Knives & Guns

The 228 and 229 were the ONLY double-stack pieces that fit my hands almost as well as a 1911.

You have some incredible knives and guns.
FWIW, the slimmest double stack .45 ACP I ever shot were my IMI Jericho 941's / Magnum Research Baby Eagles... they are noticeably slimmer in the grip than a 9mm CZ (for example). They are a 10+1 for the "semi-compact" I have. Steel frame Jericho Grip at the slimmest portion is about dead equal measured around the grip to a typical Springfield 1911 with wood grips and significantly thinner than a RIA that has a rubber insert that adds finger grooves to the front strap.

I never read the books and I have no idea what 007 carried, but I sure love old small-caliber autos. Cheap thrills fifteen years ago. I’m not serious enough to be buying more these days.

Zehna type III in .25acp, Astra 200 in .25acp, Astra 300 in .32acp, and an Astra 300 in .380acp.

Small guns are fun...

I love those marbled brown grips!!!

My first pistol was a Colt 1908 vest pocket auto in .25acp, purchased as a solid brick of rust. I soaked it for weeks, took it down to metal, and replaced a few springs. It was a pitted shooter. Ran fine with everything except aluminum cases. Gave it away. Years later I was sort of missing it and realized nice ones were getting pricey. Opted for the Astra 200 instead. Used to have an Astra 600 as well but found it too snappy to be enjoyable. Even the 300 in .380 isn’t nearly as bad.

This was my grandfather's. It took me a long time to get it working. .22 short mags are hard to find and exorbitantly expensive. $80 or so for 6 shot mag.

New mag, new recoil spring and hammer spring, it finally works correctly.

I went to the range/LGS tonight even though I shouldn't with my foot/ankle injury. Shot my great-grandfather's Gamble model 24 .22lr bolt action rifle. First time it's been shot in probably 50 years. Its from the late 1800s or early 1900s. I restored the internals, tracked down a magazine finally. I left the rough outer finish to show it was well used on the farm. Surprisingly accurate, and fun but difficult to operate lefty.

I also shot the Astra Cub which after 25 years I'd finally not jamming.

Shot the AK with the new stock. Wonderful as always.

I dropped off my Remington 887 nitro mag and Ruger MKII Government Competition for trade in evaluation.

They had a Chiappa Rhino 30DS for sale. After handling it I fell in love. However, I don't really like the nickel plated finish. I prefer the green cerakote version. Depending on what they offer me on trade, I may order a green Rhino.
