Getting ready to test my new build at the range. Choice of scout scopes is more limited than it used to be. My favorite (Leupold 2.5 x 28) has been discontinued and runs north of $1k now on the used market .. although I’m not a fan of zoom scopes, we’ll see how this one does.

Thanks ! Almost. 7600 (308 again) with a Boyds stock (added rubber pad); accurate and light, but you can see on my naked shoulder that I used it :)

Also, always liked the idea of the pump noise, in case I ever needed it for SD....
Wasn't sure 760 or 7600.
I think you have the SD thing figured out with the pups. They might be sweethearts but the bark of those two should send anyone trying to get in running long before you rack a round.

Nice Rig! Always cool to see the OGFK getting in on the action too.

I also share your sentiment that it was a sad day when Leupold discontinued the 2.5x X 28 fixed scopes. I have two of the standard eye relief version with custom 4A reticles and 1/4” click turret adjustments by Premier Reticles from back in the day when they still worked on Leupolds. I value those scopes on my hunting rifles as much as the guns themselves. I love the fact that they are only 8” long and weigh a scant 6-1/2 ounces which doesn’t ruin the balance of an otherwise handy lightweight rifle or carbine.
