Somebody was selling off a number of vintage holsters on ebay. I managed to snag this El Paso Saddlery 4" N-Frame one for a good price. A little bit of bees wax and it's almost like new. Carries very comfortably:

Also interesting to see how others (Triple K, for instance) have copied that pattern.

Great looking holster. I've never used bees wax. When you apply it, does it darken the sheath? I have some sheaths / holsters that have some age on them and I would like to moisturize / protect the leather.

Thanks. Actually, I’m not using conventional bees wax, just called it like this for simplicity. This is what I’m using (bought from Amazon):

You apply it and it soaks in. Then, I let it dry over night and wipe/polish with a rag. Doesn’t get really shiny. I can recommend it.

That stuff is great. Can also highly recommend Smith’s All-Natural (no relation) especially for small jobs like holsters, sheaths, slips and boots.IMG_0098.jpeg

I have used Blackrock Leather 'N' Rich for many years on all my leather, it was recommended to me by a couple of cowboys that used it on all their horse tack. I have no clue what is in it but it works for me.
