Thanks. It's a Dan Wesson 'Heirloom 2024' Commander. Case hardening on this run was done by Tyler Gun Works, and they did a fine job indeed, imo.

There is a great restaurant and taqueria in Dallas called Revolver that is owned and run by a chef from Mexico. He named it that because his dad is a famous gun engraver. Vice did a cool feature on them before they moved from the original location in Ft. Worth: https://www.vice.com/en/article/this-legendary-gunmaker-moonlights-as-a-restaurant-dishwasher/

First time at the range yesterday, 100 rounds of FMJ at 15 yards, no issues. She's certainly more accurate than me:

As the previous owner already did 100 rounds, I will need one more outing with 100 rounds of FMJ and no failures, before switching to Speer LE Hollow Points ....

When you're making a custom 1911 holster for a railed gun and forgot it wasn't for a regular 1911 without a rail:

So I got a holster for stock. Anyhoo, with one of my Mestano knives that's been cowboyin' for a living. He's in for a new sheath:

So of course I built a new holster. Haven't quite finished it yet. Be just like this one only a lil wider where the rail sits under the bbl. Goes with this belt though:
