Nice morning at the range. Small changes to the Valor: EGW #20 flat spring (stock is #18), solid guide rod, some new magazines, no more Magwell for portability. I mostly shot Speer G2 (230gr +P), a few magazines of 255gr +P Buffalo Bore and "normal" Speer Gold Dot 230gr to make sure everything still works. No hickups. Speer G2 will be my SD load going forwards in that gun (950 fps, elastomer filled nose).

Thanks! Yeah, I'm always trying new grips out on this gun.

Esmerelda makes some very nice grips. Search for Esmerelda 1911 grips and it displays the brand "Esmerelda".

Hello Terry M. , it's a Rift 950. I consider it a beefier version of the 940. Same designer; Osborne. I think it shows when you look at them side by side. Solid all around.

Finally, content with my gun / SD ammo pairings.

The big girl also gets 255gr +P hardcast (BB or Underwood) on the occasional hike.
