I'm just going to leave this here and will ask if anyone have any info about the Colt, please contact me or point me in the right direction, I don't know anything about it...
Those guns belong to the friend of mine, the LOE who got mu Landi knife. He came last night for a drink and to show what his father gave him for Christmas, out of his personal collection...
Beautiful guns, no doubt about it but we both have no idea what model is the Colt so I'll greatly appreciate if some of the more knowledgeable guys hive me a hand with this.
Sorry, it's not a knife thing but I lost my log in info for the 1911 forums and though I can ask here before I log in there again...

To add, the 1897 patent apparently indicates that it was one of the first ~10000 to be made, before the 1903 patent was added (the barrel bushing was altered)., so that dates it to before June 1903.
