Today sucked, ended up taking off work and sleeping most of the day. Well, until about 4 o'clock. Packages started arriving then.

So, after some difficulty (due to to the fact it's an sas and not regular controls) I got the new Wilson Combat grip installed, as well as reinstalling the lima and tungsten guide rod. Did not install the tungsten rods in the grip, wanna see how she fires without them.

Then, at 5:30 my LGS calls. Guess what I brought home tonight!?

Range report, more mods.

Got sick of the SAS slide catch on the P365, installed the standard one. I wasn't particularly thrilled with the flush fit 12 rd mags, so for one of them I bought a mag guts +2 extension, that is barely noticable but just enough to grab if stuck.

With all the mods, the difference is truly amazing. Much improved accuracy, and I have better trigger and grip control with the larger grip, and the muzzle flip and felt recoil are noticeably less, I'm guessing in combination of the addition weight in the front, and the extended beavertail on the WC grip.

On to the Canik... I'd read that they have very strong springs, and that 115gr FMJ often doesn't eject well at first, some people even replacing the spring/guide rod. I have over 1000 rounds of Blazer Brass 115gr FMJ. The first magazine (18 rounds) FTE almost every shot, finally getting better. I had prepared by racking the slide a lot at home, hoping to break in. The second mag went much better, two FTE's on the initial shots, then bang bang bang. Love the gun, very accurate, recoil pretty light, though not as light as the Steyr.

Also, have a trigger bar and hammer spring coming from Langdon tactical for my Px4 .40.
