Knives in movies

Was watching one of my favorite actors, Anthony Hopkins and Hannibal the other night. I remember seen that Spyderco Harpy in the "Bowels in or Bowels out" scene.
Another movie I recall is Under Siege with Steven Seagal and the knife fight between him and Tommy Lee Jones. Anyone know the knives in that scene? I know Seagal has done some collab work with Cold Steel in the past.
Anyway.

It's been a long time since I have seen that one, but I remember Seagal tossing around some Gil Hibben throwers earlier in the movie. At the finale I don't remember his knife, and Tommy Lee Jones was using a medium Chef's knife that he picked up from the sliced ham tray.

Seagal has a Gerber Mark II in Under Siege I believe. Tommy Lee Jones just gets hold of some chef's knife in that scene.

That's right.

I love the knife fight in under siege.

Another movie I love , a movie where a blade plays a big part is bling fury with Rutger Hauer.

My all-time favorite movie knife fight is the end fight in the Korean film, The Man From Nowhere (2010). I didn't link or embed it because I'm not sure it would be appropriate to post here due to the brutality of the scene. The villain's bodyguard uses a Cold Steel Steel Tiger; I'm not sure what knife the hero was using, but up close it was some kind of tactical folder.

A close runner-up (IMO) is the final karambit fight in the Indonesian film, The Raid 2 (2014).

Not a 'knife fight', but a knife-as-weapon scene that looks brutally realistic is a scene in the Korean film, I Saw The Devil (2011), where the serial killer/villain dispatches two other bad guys in a taxi. He uses a small fixed-bladed knife, not sure what brand(?).

This is a Spyderco Police being used by Will Smith in a Netflix movie called Bright. It’s about will smith who is a cop and has a partner that is an orc. It is like a modern city but instead of just ethnic human gangs there are orc gangs and rich elves run the city.

Sounds dumb but it was actually kinda fun. Here Will Smith is about to dig a bullet out of his arm.

Be afraid, be very afraid...
Not! :)
Granted, the production budget
may not permit a custom made design,
But I would say that at times,
It would be pretty darn important
to research the integrity of movie props.
Especially if it something which features prominently.
Maybe the Film industry should come up with a new

The SS Spyderco Police SE was one of the single most-seen models in movies and TV, especially in the '90s. This model can be seen in:

Jennifer 8 (1992)
Hard Target (1993)
Needful Things (1993)
The Client (1994; customized version)
Eraser (1996)
Fight Club (1999)
Training Day (2001)
And others...

And has been spotted in a bunch of TV shows, including:
Murder, She Wrote
NCIS
Criminal Minds
And others...

Whenever I've seen one of those movies or shows with a SS Police in it, even if only briefly, it makes me want to carry mine (which I rarely do anymore). :)

I watched John Wick 2 a few days ago, and he uses an OTF that i swear is a microtech at one point in the film.

The OTF is a Microtech. I didn’t get a close enough look to see which one. The deaf woman uses a Cold Steel Push dagger.

Microtech capitalized on it though, official John Wick microtech set. $$$$$!!!!!11

He had a tanto Kbar in his basement.

That is pretty much what owning a survival knife is like every day for me. (Lol) More like that is what the public thinks that is what a survival knife is used for.

ZT knives appear constantly on NCIS.
