knives in movies

How about "Platoon" with a Cold Steel Tanto and Push dagger on the LBE of Tom Berenger and Willam Defoe. Great knives but not exactly period correct for a Vietnam movie.

I thought of another, don't know if anyone replied with this one.In the movie "Riendeer Games",there's a scene where an awesome Microtech,is clipped out of, get this,a tackle box! That's what you do with yours, right?

The Cold Steel Terminator push-dagger Sharon Stone pulls in 'Total Recall'.

Anyone know what knife Christian Slater has pulled on him in 'Broken Arrow'?

VCM,
The knife Crowe uses to off the guard was, from what I saw, a SAK. It looked to be about the size of a Swisschamp. You can get a good look of the layers, red handles, when Crow is sneaking up on the guy. Crowes hand covered the handles pretty well, no insignia as to wheter it's a Vic, WEnger or knockoff can be seen. Hope this helps.

In Commando Arnold uses a MK1 MOD 0 dive knife aka the Buckmaster...possibly the only production knife sold with spikes to convert to a grappling hook. Just what you would want strapped to your leg while swimming...I only say that because Buck was trying to get a contract with the Navy to make that the SEAL knife.

Italian switchblade, used to open pink envelope with red lettering, in Broken Flowers. Looked like a nine inch light horn or stag bolster lock.

Bill Murray pulls it from the crowded pencil/pen can, atop his neighbor's desk, then pops it open. Cuts the envelope paper well.

Ahh... to have had such female companions. Sharon Stone shines, as does her movie daughter.

Sorry Hateman but it is in fact a Leatherman. Here is a little bit of info on the scene:

"The Scene where he slits a sentrys throat with a Leatherman, came about because Russell and the producers were talking in a bar in Sydney about what type of knife a Special Forces would use. They were all thinking of the Fairburn Sykes type blade. Sat at another table allegedly was a serving Aussie SAS Sgt who couldn’t help over hearing this and decided to go up to them and suggest the only blade for the job is the serrated bit on a Leatherman. So it got put in the scene and you can see ol Russell having a good old saw on the sentrys neck! "

I can't believe you guys forgot the Rambo movies

I was thinking the exact same thing...How about some props to Jimmy Lile.

Jennifer Eight - Spyderco Police or Endura

&

24 - Season 4... Kiefer Sutherland uses an MT Halo

24 - Season 1... Kiefer Sutherland takes the MT Halo away from the Bosnian business man who tried to stab him. He also uses a knife to cut off a dead guys finger for the prints...

What about the Stalone knife in the movie Cobra

When he pulls the knife out of his pocket to off the bad guy..that's a Lile-Lock folder. The big frikkin spike knife the bad guy uses throughout the movie is, I believe, something like a United Cutlery fantasy knife. I've seen copies at knife shows from time to time...

The Emersons in "Tears of the sun" were PUKs on the shoulder and Willis has a Khandahar on his leg.

Brendan Frazer uses a Balisong in "the mummy returns", as does C. Thomas Howell in "Red Dawn".

There's a Benchmade Spike used in "Stir of Echoes" at the end when she stabs the guy in the foot.

That's all I can think of now..
