Knives of the Blade Show 2014 • Raising the Bar!

But wait, there's more...! Crazily, we're not even halfway done. Grab a chair...

Joe Paranee has been generating ALL the buzz on this Blade sellout: It's the new Matt Diskin flipper. I forget the model. Clue us in?

Also generating great sales at the Show was this workhorse from Tim Britton.

Bringing elegance and fine curves into the forefront. Tom + Amayak = sweeeet. (Those are silver inlays in the pearl.)

Ooooopps! We walked in on her!

Scott McGhee makes it look easy. All the masters do.

Speaking of masters. This seventies piece from Bob Loveless is SO clean. Soldered guard and pinned. Early Lawndale goodness.

Any zombies around? Rick Poirier can handle the heat.

We'll close with some MASTERsmiths:

The following knives from a savvy collector.

Bill Buxton has a linear steel pattern which elongates his already lengthy blades.

THIS dagger would come out the backside....

What a great hawk!

John White shows us that he's on top of his game with this matching pair of Dogbone takedown Bowies. Paul Long matches his game. Win/Win!

More tomorrow. Thanks for all the kind comments. I'm pleased to prove to my clients that they WILL get seen.

If someone said pick a knife it's yours that it would be pretty hard to choose, but those Dave Mirabile knives are something..

Thanks for the images..:)

..

I was there all day Friday and Saturday and still did not see the majority of these pieces. Just so much to see . . . . So thanks for posting these here, Jim. I think it might be possible that you see more nice knives in your ad hoc photography studio than the rest of us see walking the floor!

Thanks Jim for sharing all these outstanding knives.
I was under the weather with a bronchial infection the entire show so wasn't able to visit as many maker's tables as I would have liked to.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful knife!!

^^^ Thanks again guys. Yes, they are inspiring: To own, to create, to simply enjoy visually.

Let's continue....

Another quality Tim Britton tac folder

David Sharp found a lost supply of crown stag roots. What a pleasure!

Peter Carey collaborated with Jody Muller with this thematic piece.

When Jerry Fisk makes a statement, he stands high on the podium.

This DH3 fighter stands starkly potent with little need for extra views.

Although this stagalicious folder makes us look twice.

The next two brought to me from a prominent BF and CKCA collector. I believe this is a damascus Hurak model.

We were all fighting over 2nd dibs on the little fixed blade. Who wouldn't want this??!

Mark Knapp has a great following and a substantial 'look'. A prominent hunting guide and machinist, his designs are very organic, yet technical.

Speaking of having a personal style, John Cohea is synonymous with historical...

...and Gus Cecchini shows that modern, even futuristic designs, are just as appealing.

Meteorite and Timascus

I'd love to see him promenade with the vertical mill.

And a final salute today to Dennis Bradley who carved and shaped and polished this entire knife out of stainless:440c (blade) and 416 (handle).

It is always a pleasure viewing the fantastic images of these great works of art Jim, and always a big honor when I can have one of mine among them, many thanks for all you and your crew do for us at the show!

Thank you again Jim for all your incredible hard work and talent

We are calling the Flipper for now The DISkIN FLIPPER :)

The Damascus Lurquin that you captured so well is a Hurak

WOW! What a show of knives through great pictures. Thank you very much Jim. And there were a lot of people that loved that little Rodebaugh pocket hunter, so much in a small package.
Thank you again.
