  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Knives on my cat

Here’s another of My trained Warrior you can see the look in her eyes if you gaze closely ;)

Fluffy really didn't like the foreign object. He generally hates everything unusual, surprising, sudden, disturbing... I sweettalked him into just letting it happen. Two flashes, it's over buddy... As a result, he has moved to the couch while Whitey occupies my reading armchair and woolen blanket. Whatever, it's time to go cooking anyway... Enjoy a great and safe weekend you all knifenuts !

Am I the only one that cringes a bit when I see open blades on the cats? Just seems very risky.
Honestly, it's not. I know exactly how the cat will evade an "uncomfortable" situation. It's always away from the weird weight / foreign object. Turn the cutting edge (and tip !) opposite to that "evading path". I will even add, the reaction of cats to inanimate objects may look "hurried" to us. It's not, it's swift and calculated. They feel way more than we do. This said, don't do this at home, people. My cats are trained stuntsmen, with years of experience under their belt. And mine.
